Guys holy shit we going to the Superb Owl! Sucks about TD. Have to assume he's done even if he says otherwise. Harper needs to be back tho I like Bostons speed. Broncos O doesn't scare me. If we can get 20 points I think we take it trophy.
Just went driving through downtown Denver, blasting Petey Pablo's "Raise Up," and yelling Goooo Panthers! These next two weeks are gonna be so much fun .
Boss brought everyone in a cajun fillet biscuit w/ the bo-rounds and coffee. It was the most satisfying victory biscuit I have ever consumed.
Obviously I said all of this in a notion of jinxing other teams! I never doubted anything for a second!!!
Just got a caught from the old man asking if I wanted to go to the Super Bowl. So, yeah, looks like I'm going provided there are still tickets available. Hope I didn't just jinx myself.
I work with nothing but Broncos fans. So much shit is going to be talked. Peyton is going to need a new neck operation with this pass rush.
If we can put this game out of reach and keep from turning the ball over we may just get our first trophy. I won't lie I'm not as confident as everyone else is with Carolina being a clear favorite in Vegas, this is going to be a 4th quarter game.
I honestly don't know if we won the lottery, but apprently we have tickets, so clearly something has been done with regard to the lottery
Thoughts on us handling that pass rush? Saw a pic of them lined up vs Brady and all 4 DL were outside the guards pass rushing. Obviously Cam would destroy them right up the middle like that but I still wonder if we try to power run them out of blitzing, or use options and screens.
Feels like your OL has to hold up against the 3 and 4 man pressures in order to force them to blitz an extra man and open up a passing lane. I don't really trust our wideouts to get open vs Talib and Harris without some help.
TheChatch speak to me in a non douchey way about how the Bronco's D handled mobile QB's this season pls and thx
According to this guy, we have no chance: http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/01/25/...lina-panthers-super-bowl-50-ultimate-mismatch But he also called Ryan Tannehill a much better QB (and long term prospect) than Cam. He is has also called for us to lose each week.
It's easy to say this in hindsight, but Peterson has been overrated for a while. He's not a lock down corner in terms of taking an entire sideline away. I also think the Cardinals missed Mathieu a lot more than most realize. Dude controlled the middle of the field.
Which also brings up the incredible depth Gettleman has built. We were down 4 starters by 2Q against the #2 offense in the league and didn't blink. It's impressive. Ok I'm done thread bombing now.
No, you're good bro. I thought this exact thing. I'm a little worried going against the Broncos without TD, but honestly Shaq is just TD 2.0. Most pundits killed Gettleman for that pick, but I was totally geeked when he did it because I got the thought process behind it. Keep building on strengths and above all else take the best player available.
I'll be shocked if he plays. The fact that it's even a possibility just shows how much of a warrior he is.
I think Davis will play. I don't think it was a bad break and they will put a caste on it. Just has to get through one game not a seasons worth. Also worth the risk unlike Allen because we don't really rotate LBers like DE, so him going out for Klein is not a killer to the depth like it would be at DE.
Fair enough. I obviously don't have the data or the background to support my claim, just going off general feeling. He also just had a bad game yesterday. I hope we have the same success against Denver, though I think it'll be a much stiffer challenge.
Well, they haven't seen anything close to what Cam brings to the table, in terms of ability to make plays with his feet. I'm trying to think, and I believe that the closest thing they have seen to that kind of ability to avoid sacks in the backfield is probably Big Ben. It's going to be interesting.
I glanced at the schedule and the closest I could find was the Colts game. Luck was only sacked once and had 6 rushes for 34 yards. I suppose Alex Smith could be considered mobile in the pocket at least but he didn't fair very well. 'preciate it.
Living in Denver all season (moved here in August), I have watched every single one of their games because my roommate is a native and a die-hard Broncos fan. I've also watched every Panthers game because obvi. I'll say this, the Broncos will not be afraid to play in a close game if that's what happens. That's how they've played all year, and seemingly super fluky things have happened for them all year to keep winning. Their defense is as billed, and it will be very hard to be consistent against. It's very similar to Seattle's to be quite honest. They can be beat though if Cam is on his "A" game. If Cam is off, the Broncos will stay in the game that will in all likely hood turn into ugly football. With that said, you could easily make the case that their record should be worse than it is. Don't forget that it took the Patriots shitting the bed the last few weeks for the Broncos to get the #1 seed. Two weeks before that the Broncos were almost out of the playoffs all together. The offense has been basically a mess all season. It's a mesh of Peyton's offense that he's run for years and a mix of the Shananan/Kubiak zone blocking offense. What it has resulted is an uneven run game that is made worse that their o-line has been really beat up. Peyton can still make up for a lot of the issues because he is so smart, but physically he is falling apart. Last game you saw Peyton as healthy as he has been all year, and he threw it better as a consequence - but he still can't consistently put 20-30 yards down the field with accuracy. I also have a theory that this has contributed to Demariyus Thomas' struggles this season because he's at his best going up and getting jump balls down field. To be blunt, this is a great matchup for the Panthers. Their shaky run game will not likely get on track against our front seven, so that puts a lot on Peyton to beat us. With Manning not being able to stretch us vertically like he used to that will play right into our strength which is taking away the intermediate-short passing lanes. Luke and TD erase so much in coverage and will make it tough for the Broncos to have sustained drives, which is what they have to do to have success. Norman takes away Thomas and I think we can double Sanders some with LBs passing him off. Sanders will be a our biggest issue with Finnegan and company likely on him the most, but it's still very do-able. If we jump on them early it will probably be lights out in the first half. If the Broncos can take it into the second half tied or within a score then I think you could see them squeak another out. Even then I'd rather bet on Cam than Manning at this point.
Broncos are so much better of a match-up for the Panthers. Their O plays rights into our strengths on D and the Patriots O played right into our weaknesses. Still going to be a difficult game, but like our chances. Like our OL better than Pats as well. For a scrap heap LT, 2014 3rd Round LG, 2014 UDFA at RG, a 2014 pickup off a PS and Khalil the line has played incredible.
