Adam Schefter: Buccaneers signed former Giant Robert Ayers: 3-years, 19.5 million, could get to 21 million, per source. Pass rusher for Bucs.

Would be nice if we can trade Glennon for a good draft pick. Rumor is we turned down a 2nd rd pick for him. What. The. Fuck.
Yes, but Glennon is in the last year of his contract. He's gone after this year no matter what. Might as well get something for him while we can
Trade Glennon, the 1.9 pick and Conte to Tennessee. Prolly have to throw in some balloons or a trio of Beef O'Brady's, Outback and Hooters coupons to sweeten the deal. Take Jalen #1. Super Bowl.
New pewter report mock: Rd1: Sheldon Rankins (Louisville DT) Rd2: Will Fuller (Notre Dame WR) Rd3: Deion Jones (LSU Sam) Rd4: Bronson Kaufusi (BYU DE) Rd5: James Bradberry (Samford CB) Rd6: Victor Ochi (Stony Brook DE) Rd6: Tyvis Powell (Ohio St FS)
Yeah, I don't think he will be. They said we should take Josh Doctson or one of the Ohio St WRs if that's the case
I don't see them going DE at 1.9 since they signed Ayers (though I think Ayers is but a bandaid). They seem to love Jacquies Smith
Greg Auman @gregauman 6m6 minutes ago Bucs announce they have signed former Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson to a contract ...
Ideally we can trade back but I want pass rush help. I would be fine with Bosa (doubtful he falls), Spence, Ogbah, Lawson, or Rankins. We've drafted well lately so whoever is available and we consider the best player I can get behind it. Also would be okay with Ronnie Stanley if they want to go that route.
FUCK TAKING ANOTHER FUCKING OFFENSIVE LINEMAN FUCK our OL was average last year with 2 rookies on the line. it's good enough to be competitive. we cannot, however, be competitive with our defense and neither grimes nor ayers are long term solutions. we suck everywhere on defense and we should just take best defensive player available, which means if one of ramsey, bosa, buckner, jack, or VH3 is not a buc in 2016 then we probably fucked up somewhere since there will be most likely be QBs and OL taken by teams ahead of us
All those players could be off the board If none of the QBs go early. I'd much rather take a franchise LT than reach on the 3rd CB or 3rd DE at 9. Now if Stanley is available and we trade back for more picks and add a DE or CB in the teens then that's great too
if by chance all 5 of those players are gone (which I doubt because players always drop that we never expected to, plus the browns and niners are probably taking QBs), then take a'shawn or rankins and we can dominate up the middle like the panthers do with short and lotulelei. or shaq lawson if we can get past the whole him being from clemson thing. again, just take the best defensive player on the board. we have enough holes where it doesn't even matter what position it is we've neglected defense in the draft for the past 2 years and we're just going to stay bad if we keep doing it
Ultimately all these things need to be addressed if we went Stanley early the rest of our picks early need to address D but you don't pick a player slotted to go in the 20s or late teens because of need that's how you reach, got to take a franchise player if he is on the board. I guess it depends on how much you trust Smith too tho. He played well as a rookie but i still think he is meant to play RT
I'm pretty firmly team Rankins as our first pick because I don't think any of the DEs outside of Bosa or Buckner are at a 1.9 value. But if Stanley is there (he won't be), he is a take. There's a lot of depth at DL and CB this year where we could still get someone quality like Jon Bullard or Kendall Fuller at 2.8.
VHIII/Buckner and Fuller/Bullard in the first 2 rds would be ideal. If we go with Rankins I hope we can trade back and get him in the upper teens
Pretty ridiculous value after his combine, imo. If he's there at 2.8, they better be sprinting to the podium
The more I think about it the more I like Bullard in our 3-4 hybrid. He's a guy who can play SDE in the 4-3 or DT in the 3-4. I do hate the idea of going VHIII/Bullard for homer reasons but otherwise like the idea. UF guys - thoughts on him?
Bullard is real good, easily our most disruptive linemen last year. Had 25 QB pressures from the DT spot, which was more than all of our DEs (only alex mccalister had more than 20 at 22). Good at shedding blocks and has a strong bull rush. Very competitive/high effort player. Didn't have 1 broken/missed tackle all last year.
Were either of the two accused of crimes that would force me to have to give up my 32 years of Buc allegiance and act like a total faggot in this thread?
as far as needs go: 1) any pass rusher 2) CB 3) S 4) WR to replace VJax in 2017 we had the 2nd leading rusher in the NFL and gave up the 4th least amount of sacks in the NFL...with 2 rookies on the line. we do not need to invest another early pick in the OL. of course a lot of that has to do with jameis being tough to bring down and I'm not saying we're the 4th best line in the league or anything, but it's certainly average to above average. stanley isn't going to make nearly the difference that a lockdown corner (VH3) or a disruptive DL (bosa, buckner, rankins) would make. stanley may be a great value at 9 but it's a luxury we can't afford right now with how fucking terrible our defense is if we're going to neglect defense in the first because somehow ramsey, bosa, jack, buckner, VH3, rankins are all gone (won't happen), then I'd rather take treadwell because he's a great prospect at a position that actually fits a need in the near future. we all saw how terrible our offense was when VJax got hurt we only had evans out there.
Getting these vets in FA but I still want an edge guy or CB at 1.9 but fuck me I don't get paid 4 mill to evaluate. Unless it's actors.
