how was Crossbones and Zemo? that was the only slight issue the Collider guys had with the problem, otherwise they consider it close to 10/10.
Not really a spoiler but ill spoiler it so I don't ruin anything for anyone that doesn't want to know anything Spoiler I thought Crossbones was fine. His purpose as a first act villain worked. The fight scenes with him and his group were awesome. I had a bit of a problem with Zemo though. His plan wasn't confusing like I've seen some reviews talk about but they completely change his backstory. The change works in context for the movie but I'm such a fan of the comic version of Zemo that it bothered me.
Marvel set the showrunners of Daredevil S2 for the same role on The Defenders. They're also brining Drew Goddard back as a producer. http://marvel.com/news/tv/26037/netflix_original_series_marvels_the_defenders_finds_its_showrunners If Netflix sticks to their current release plan then I'm guessing this is what we're looking at going forward: Fall 2016: Luke Cage Spring 2017: Iron Fist Fall 2017: The Defenders Spring 2018: Jessica Jones S2
S2 of JJ is the only series that's been ordered and I'm assuming it is post Defenders since they start filming that at the end of the year.
I hate to say it, but I'm not sold on X-Men: Apocalypse. I'm pretty lukewarm toward all the new casting choices besides Olivia Munn (looks awesome as Psylock), and I hate how they're writing the scripts around forcing Jennifer Lawrence down our throats. Don't get me wrong, I'll be there opening weekend. I'll also probably really enjoy it. I'm just not 100% excitement right now, and I'm not sure anything like another trailer could fix it until I actually see the film.
it's a Singer X-men, so I'll expect it to have some almost great parts but probably be mediocre overall.
I'm not excited about Apocalypse at all. Singer sucks. I hope this is his last time directing an X-Men movie.
My penis tells me she will be a fantastic Psylocke. My penis has never led me wrong. Spoiler I'm lying. My penis has led me astray many, many times. But the scene of her cutting through the car made him twitch and he was immediately convinced.
Rumor that X-23 is going to be in Wolverine 3 http://www.superherohype.com/news/3...-might-make-her-debut-in-wolverine-3#/slide/1
I'll watch Apocalypse because I like Fassbender and Isaac. I'm not thrilled like I am for MCU films. Lest we not forget that Deadpool will be gracing our homes on May 10th.
My thoughts exactly. Fassbender is basically carrying the franchise for me so hopefully he gets a chance to shine alongside Isaac. I was pumped about the reveal that Apocolypse was the baddie as he's one of my favorite X-Men villains, but the more I see the less I am excited. I'll be there opening day, and maybe my lowered expectations will help, but I'm not as pumped for it as I am for ANY of the upcoming MCU films.
Oh my fucking god, all of my yes April 21, 2016 10:40am PT by Borys Kit Robert Downey Jr. Joins 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Robert Downey Jr. Pascal Le Segretain/WireImage Marvel's Shell-head is looking to join Sony's Web-head. It looks like the team-up of Spider-Man and Iron Man seen in Captain America: Civil War won’t be the duo’s last. Robert Downey Jr., who plays the red and gold-armored Marvel character, has closed a deal to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel and Sony’s reboot of the web-crawling superhero, sources tell THR. Tom Holland will star as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and is making his debut as the character in Civil War (and already garnering praise for his take on the role). The movie establishes a key relationship between Tony Stark/Iron Man and Parker and Homecoming will continue that thread. Homecoming has been casting up ahead of its June start of production. Marisa Tomei will play Aunt May, while Zendaya is one of the female leads. Tony Revolori, who starred opposite Ralph Fiennes in The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Laura Harrier, who appeared in the soap opera One Life to Live, are also boarding the production, which is being produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Sony has held the rights to Spider-Man since the 1990s but its recent outings with the character proved unpopular with fans and critics, despite relatively strong box office. Meanwhile, Marvel built itself up as a movie studio, reacquiring the rights of many of the characters it had licensed out in the 1990s, and was then was bought by Disney. Spider-Man was one of a handful of characters that eluded Marvel. Last year, however, Sony execs invited Marvel to come in and handle the character, in an effort to restore him to his former glory. One of the ways Marvel is doing that is by introducing Holland as Spider-Man in Civil War before he goes on to his own movie series. But with Downey’s boarding, it appears that Marvel will continue to keep Spider-Man close not just creatively but also literally; Tony Stark/Iron Man appearing together in Homecoming keeps the Sony’s movies strongly tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its films released by Disney. Downey and his industrialist hero have been cornerstones of Marvel’s film slate even though unlike his other co-stars he has not signed the studio’s complicated multi-pic deals. His last renegotiation included his appearing in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2, as well as Civil War. His appearance in Homecoming required another round of negotiations. It is unclear whether that is to appear in just Homecoming or subsequent installments.
I think at this point, Disney is just handing him a blank check and telling him to keep adding zeros until he says yes to doing more movies.
Sony has to pay his bill on this one right? His interactions with Peter are pretty great in Civil War so I'm glad they're paying him.
Yeah they're handling the production, so they pay for the actors. Feige and his MCU team are just handling the story. Will this be the first time a character has appeared in two different franchises, from two different studios, played be the same actor, in the same continuity?
According to the trades, Michael Keaton is no longer in talks for the villain role in Spider-Man. That sucks - thought he would've been a great Vulture if the rumors were true.
prerecordedlive if you some time to kill, here's 2 videos about Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel Done by comics explained. He does a great job explaining the backstory and history of a lot of comic book heroes and stories. Be careful, you might just find yourself falling down a rabbit hole of info. Part 1 Part 2
“@benfritz: Disney/Marvel has undated "Inhumans," which was previously set for July 12, 2019. Now it has no release date.” It was obvious this was getting moved after they announced Indy 5 for the week after this but it's probably not a good sign they didn't set another date for it.
Fuuuuuuuck. I want to see black bolt and the royal family. Thought it would be really cool blending them in with the AoS charectors.
There was a rumor last year that said an Inhumans movie was pushed by Perlmutter and Feige agreed to it in exchange for a Captain Marvel movie that Perlmutter was against. After Marvel Studios split away from Marvel, it was rumored that Feige was going to start delaying it and then ultimately cancel it.
I think they should hold off on the franchise until they get the Fantastic Four rights back. Those two teams are pretty connected and you could use an F4 movie to introduce them.
I think this is the best trailer for Apocalypse so far but I hated the tease at the end. Would it kill Singer to have one X-Men movie without Wolverine in it?
Well he's the second most popular Marvel character in history and certainly the most bankable star Fox has. I would have been shocked if he hadn't made an appearance. I am completely lost as to how he fits in this universe, vis-a-vi the timeline, but whatever.
First one that made me feel anything more than meh. Interested to see how it plays out. I think someone on here said the same, but it may be because I'm so excited for civil war that I can't get pumped for this. I was a way bigger fan of the X-men growing up too. Weird.
I liked this trailer more than the others. I'm personally happy Wolverine will be in the film. With that said, could Jennifer Lawrence possibly make it any clearer she didn't want to do this movie? Talk about wooden line delivery. Jesus she sounds terrible.
