it's funny that of all the things people criticize Hillary Clinton about for being inauthentic, it's this "hot sauce pandering" that she gets chastised for. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/04/hillary-clinton-pandering-radio/479004/ but as the atlantic shows, her love for hot sauce is allegedly decades-old. Keeping it 1600 had a good bit about how this perfectly captures Hillary's problem: it's actually genuine, but people (young people specifically) think she's lying.
It's insane that this many people are still showing up to see Sanders. Hillary will never see this kind of support. She only loses more of Bills votes the longer she campaigns and she's already close with Trump. This dudes the only hope that democrats have at beating Trump and his party wants nothing to do with him.
I see it more as a little tone deaf ie look black people I like hot sauce too we have that in common, than a falsehood. lol she has a shitload more votes than him
Sanders has gotten no coverage his entire campaign except on the internet. He's up against american royalty and still polls better in all the swing states against Trump than she does right now. He has gained support while she has lost support in every state, as time goes on those trends would just continue.
why do you think he still lost penn, ny ct, and delaware that had decent demographics for him and abundant time to hear his message
For the last year, he's been the most covered politician in a national primary that I can recall in my lifetime. Everyone covered him, and thusly, legitimized him. Cable news and the 24/7 entertainment news cycle is as much to blame for the Trump phenomenon as those few morons who supported him initially.
thats bc for the last year he has led in every poll amongst the Republican field. Leaders get more coverage; that is how media works. Jim Gilmores dont get fairness just bc you cry for it. and you already made this unconvincing point earlier. Anything else?
its groundhog day the guy was already leading all polls prior to the mainstream liberal media coverage
What's abundant time to hear his message? If you get all your info from cable tv you probably still don't know his message.
NY's registration deadline to vote in their closed primary was in October.. 3 months before the Iowa primary
hopefully Vegas learns to factor polling more into their odds? Or are you suggesting the media should allot coverage based on vegas odds.
the notion that hillary voters just havent heard the gospel is ridiculous tbh as is the notion that bernie supporters are naive and only want free stuff, but thats not the issue here
i wanna start handicapping politics. how long would rick santorums odds have to be before you put money on him? 100000-1?
the Chatch says Trump won in spite of GOP establishment bc of CNN then how do we explain the rise of Ted Cruz; or the other ~30% of the popular vote that non-establishment candidates received? Media coverage from MSNBC or something else?
A ton of Bernie's are though. It comes with getting all the young voters. As is getting all your info from the tv in the 65+ crowd.
Swing states will be a less extreme of that once Trump starts in on her with his mans man bully routine slinging all the shit at her.
Here's the first Quinnipiac poll taken after Trump declared. He leads it. https://www.qu.edu/news-and-events/quinnipiac-university-poll/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2264
Trump led the entire republican field his whole candidacy - nationally at least. CNN didnt create that. Nor Cruz being 2nd. Nor Carson. Nor Herman Cain. Nor Sarah Palin.
the less educated you were meant you were more likely to vote for Mitt Romney in 2012. Same with Trump in 2016. This is CNN's fault. Not their platform.
His initial strategy of just trying to appeal to white people seemed to spell his doom. Although it is probably due to thinking the field would be larger and his inexperience with dealing with minorities due to the state he represents.
I honestly hope that if Trump gets trounced that the GOP pins it all on the media and continues down the same path they've been on.
pffft a poll from a university posted on a website? liberal university bias? check liberal media bias? check nice try dungeon master
I miss Jon Stewart, wish more dudes like this would start podcasts. He describes perfectly a big reason why Hillary will lose a big enough chunk of her base I think. In the GOP he exposed everyone he ran against for their fake garbage until they got flustered enough to get in the mud with him which only worsened their cause. There's not many politicians that come off faker than Hilllary Clinton to me.
What are you looking for from me? Proof? I can't really prove that the media, and the way they covered Trump had a huge effect on his candidacy, just like you cannot prove that it didn't, but the subject has been written on many, many times over, since he ascended to the top of the primary group. It's not some new idea that you're reading here on a message board. Do you want me to post articles? I guess I'm unsure of what you're looking for from me.
