Oscar can't stop Canelo from doing what he wants. Oscar said no to Lara and Trout, Canelo fought 'em anyway. If Canelo actually wants it (and doesn't hide behind the weight issue), it'll happen.
There's no amount of money that protects Floyd's perfect record. He cares more about that than any dollar figure imo
He's a monster. Floyd's great, but GGG has too much power and speed. It'd end in a GGG KO, in my opinion.
Floyd considers himself the best fighter of all time. At least that is what he outwardly projects. GGG is too big for Floyd, even at the top of Floyd's power's I doubt he'd risk it against GGG.
The weight difference for one. I think GGG is overrated by the general public personally. KO artists generally are. If they were the same weight class fighting in their primes. Boring 12-0 fight for Mayweather
It's crazy, but GGG isn't a big enough main stream star for Floyd to fight. I bet he'd make less than he did against Pac to take an L.
Exactly this. Pacman was well past it when they fought the first time. It was boring then, it will be boring if it happens a second time. Floyd's speed against GGG will be neutralized because I don't think he can hurt him with one shot.
FUCK NO. 1.) Floyd would need to add weight 2.) 0% chance that fight happens for a handful of reasons
He would probably KO Floyd with the impact of his punches hitting Floyd's guard. Probably break his forearms too
Come out of retirement for a competitive fight? I feel foolish even talking about Floyd for another second. He's done. Fuck pacquiao too.
To me, GGG is much more gifted from a technical standpoint than the public gives him credit for. The jab will be the difference against Canelo just as it was for Mayweather against Canelo. Only thing that remains to be seen is what happens if Golovkin is on the receiving end of a punch like Canelo landed tonight. He's never been hit like that.
jesus, didn't he get arrested right after leaving the bowling alley for robbing and beating up a dude?
Broner is my least favorite athlete of all time. He tried to be Mayweather only without the villainous charm and talent.
Floyd is a natural 135 and people want him to come out of retirement at age 39 to fight an elite 160 fighter. Speaks to how good Floyd was
Or to the fact that jbf76 doesn't watch much boxing or is just getting into it and is yet to really understand all the intricacies that go into the sport.
-Luis "King Kong" Ortiz will take on Alexander Ustinov either in August or September on HBO. Solid heavyweight scrap. -Terance Crawford-Viktor Postol is officially official for July 23 on HBO PPV. -The WBC sent a letter to the promoters for GGG and Canelo, giving them 15 days to come to a deal or it goes to a purse bid on May 24th.
Very surprised that it would be that low. Would have guessed about 700k or so. Boxing doesn't have a superstar PPV draw without Mayweather and Pacquiao, that is all but confirmed by those numbers. The Crawford PPV is going to be a disaster. I'm sorry, but that shouldn't be PPV. Crawford is nowhere near that level of stardom and he's fighting someone that most have never heard of.
Is there a single matchup out there that is actually PPV worthy? I'm having my doubts that even Canelo v. GGG will produce enough buys to be worthwhile
