United now interested in Bonucci? Is this just to drive the price up for City? Also why would Juve be selling him and what the hell would they do with all of that cash?
Liverpool have agreed a deal in the region of £25m with Newcastle United for midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Sky sources. Stoke have agreed a £13m fee for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen. Germany forward Mario Gotze has returned to Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich on a four year contract. Newcastle sign Grant Hanley from Blackburn on five year deal.
English Paper Talk Manchester City have launched a £50m bid to sign Toni Kroos from Real Madrid. Liverpool's Jon Flanagan is pondering a loan to Burnley. Chelsea want to sign Benfica defender Victor Lindelof Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is prepared to go in with a third offer for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata. Diego Maradona says he is prepared to manage Argentina 'for free'. Aston Villa have had a £5m bid rejected for Bristol City's Jonathan Kodjia. Hamburg have lined up a bid of £8m for Jordan Ayew but Aston Villa want to keep the striker. West Brom and Sunderland have shown interest in Lorient striker Benjamin Moukandjo.
For a team that loses players every year Dortmund really knows how to reload. PEA, Reus, Gotze, and Dembele is a scary attack
Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that West Ham has increased their offer for Colombian striker Carlos Bacca to £28m
I'm actually glad someone was able to "buy low" on us. Steve Morgan is getting a 50% return on his investment of 30m. 45m is still a lot in my mind for a club that just squandered a ton of matches to finish in the bottom half of the Championship. The talent was there to repeat the previous year's top 10 finish, so hopefully now we can rid ourselves of the mental midgets at the club.
Can someone explain Alvaro morata to me? He is only 23 and I have seen him flash in the few games I have seen him play but the reports of 60m pounds plus offers being rejected seem crazy. He has 15 league goals total in serie A in 2 seasons. I know prices are crazy now and he is only 23 but his just seems to be ridiculous even when you factor that in.
Even with the fee inflation this year I haven't seen strikers without a record for actually scoring goals go for big money. Look at batshuayi as an example. He is a year younger than morata and even though ligue 1 is a step below serie A he had a 17 goal season last year. He went for half of what morata went for. There is obviously something there with morata (or an agent is floating crazy rumors) but I just don't see what he has done to elevate himself into that caliber of player
Silly season in full swing, claims that Everton and Juventus are willing to pay 35 for Sissoko. Good joke, British tabloids
Everton need to spend their new money somewhere. Kept hearing about them being able to splash out this summer but have yet to see it.
Everything I've read is that he was the hold up, not the fee. Reports of the fee I've read have ranged from 20-32 MM, so not sure what it ultimately will be.
It's in the guardian, they actually hold their writers accountable. Still pretty hard to believe that Juventus would pay anything close to that.
I don't know how credible this site is. http://sportwitness.co.uk/woodward-tells-mendes-expect-e65m-man-united-bid-client/
sport is reporting that barcelona has signed andre gomes from valencia Edit: barça just confirmed the signing
Fully expecting the Sissoko price to be closer to the Wijnaldum one. But even 50mil for those two is insane.
lol what the fuck? He's been on the verge of moving to Madrid for like a week now... either way, thanks for saving them from wasting €60M
Paul Scholes may never be seen or heard from again if United spend 9 figures on Pogba. It was Scholes deciding to come out of retirement at the request of Fergie that ended up being the main reason Pogba left United. His hates media attention (despite his recent career in punditry)
I think even with a healthy Cleverley, they were in such desperate need of midfielders that Pogba was the only available choice to fill in but instead he brings back the old timer. "The Secret Footballer" wrote in one of his books that some managers will not play a black central midfielder under any circumstance. SAF might not be that extreme but I'm kind of drawing a blank with him. Does Anderson count?
Just the ones who joined up in the last few years that know very little about their history (which is like the number one draw for their new fans) but I bet there's like three of them that will post something dumb on Twitter.
(@tancredipalmeri): Real Madrid have made contact with Newcastle for the signing of midfielder Moussa Sissoko. #NUFC
Didn't do my morning look at various transfer sources but saw on twitter that Schurrle had moved to Borussia Dortmund
