I've never injected wings, but sounds good. I dont know if I've mentioned this already in here, but toss some corn starch in with your seasoning if you want that "just out of the oven" crispiness. I still char mine, but the corn starch trick money.
are bbq shows becoming the next motorcycle builder shows where there are gunna be one on every channel?
I agree on Mixon being iffy but I enjoy watching different techniques and the different kinds of meats they do.
they showing some old season 1 of bbq pitmasters shows, Myron was def different, nowhere near as annoying as he is now the producers definitely told him to play that up more as the years went on
dammit, one of my maverick probes stopped working just ordered two new ones off amazon, be here on monday
Started the butts around 9 Friday night and pulled em at 3 pm Saturday. Turned out great, but was so busy prepping for the party to get any pics. 20 pounds ended up being more than we needed, so aw yeah I know what's for lunch.
Just threw a picnic shoulder on. I normally do butts, but the shoulders were on sale so I said why not.
preordering franklins this morning for my trip out there for the ND game. how much do you guys think I should order per person?
on this note, trying to decide how much to smoke for 24 guys. Need to do a couple butts, and unsure on how much, and what the additive time is when doing more than one. Does the 1.5 hour/pound still work if I do 7# butts, so just about a 10 hour smoke, or does it go up to 2x or something with more meat?
I always smoke/grill a ton of stuff on game days at my condo. There's an engagement party for one of my best friends on one of hour games at my friends parents place in the same condo building. Typed out an email to volunteer to cook, but decided cooking for 70 sounded awful on a game day so now I contemplate my decision

Stopped by my folk's house on the way home from work today to replace a thermostat for them. Finish up and my dad says, "Hey, come take a look at this." He pulls a packer brisket out of his fridge and with a huge grin on his face asks, "Is that a good price?" It's in my fridge now and I'll be cooking it for his upcoming birthday dinner. It weighed 9.7 lbs on my scale.
Smoked has the actual "famous dave" on the show tonight i didnt even know there was really a guy, just thought he made pickles
