So the wife actually agreed and wanted to come along...great! another plane ticket to purchase but thankfully she's good with getting fucked up and having a good ass time for a few nights so I'm not worried about it at all. Gonna be tracking flights like crazy and hoping to get lotto lucky.
On the actual US Soccer page where it mentions the tickets it still says the lotto closes on Thursday 9/29 at 2PM EST but they took down where it says it opens Monday and it now says "shortly". Whatever that means
Wood starting vs Bayern on FS2 Fabian starting for Monchengladbach and Alfredo Morales for Ingolstadt in their match. Chandler starting vs Hertha Berlin
Per the language on the US Soccer site you will not be able to enter both the AO and general lottos. AO confirmed this on Twitter
So with news that USSF will remove duplicate entries from the general lotto I guess it looks like this. Ohh you know if that applies to you as well with AO since you'll have the US Soccer members lotto?
Looking at a need for 17-22 tickets with applications for 30 if everyone is going for 4. Hopefully the emails come today. Best of luck everyone and hopefully we all win and won't have to get things sorted out but if not hopefully enough do that all we need is covered
AO is just the supporters section. General lotto and US Soccer members lotto is for those sections. I had sideline or midfield for 2013 but it was AO section so cheaper
Got my AO email. Opens at 4 and closes Thursday at 4. $87.75 for each member ticket and $90.75 for each non member ticket
My buddy got one and he's in group A (I'm in F). His window opens at 2 and closes tomorrow instead of Thursday
SugarShaun based on those four ticket groups, where do you think the best value is compared to price?
Sideline. I was 2nd row sideline for USA/Jamaica in 2012 and was sideline but not midfield for 2013 Mexico and found both to be great seats. View for Jamaica View for Mexico
My guess is that the Orange here will be VIP. Blue midfield. Yellow sideline and Green endline. Except that most of the green will be AO and that the corner of 139-101 will mostly be Crew STH as I think many of the STH are Nordecke which is that area https://goo.gl/images/KHwA1z
Apparently AO doesn't even know how many tickets they're getting because USSF hasn't said yet. Guessing they're going to wait until all the lottos close then sort out how many goes to each group. Emailed my ticket rep with the Crew to ask if I could enter the AO lotto and get my Crew tickets or if there would be an issue. She asked and they don't know. USSF hasn't given them that info. Awesome. Really going to be upset if they cause an issue with that. Would be quite unhappy if I have to choose between taking a chance on getting 4 vs taking the guaranteed 2
Oh I know. I wouldn't risk it. For USA/Mexico you have to take the guaranteed even if it was only 1. Was just saying I would be upset if it's even a choice I was forced to make
Also 3 of the guys included in my 5 (plus me) are entering the AO lotto also so that increases odds a bit. Though after reading about the ticketing in the email I asked AO on Twitter if there is a way to transfer tickets to my friends if I'm getting 4 and they said no so if we are helping each other out with tickets that is something to keep in mind, can't be transferred and it's all mobile ticketing. Maybe a screen shot of the mobile ticket that could be sent would work or having to enter together
They're trying to cut it out. I don't see how they can but if tickets really can't be transferred that certainly will make it difficult. AO tickets they said the only way to transfer them is through the AO site listing them for sale at face.
Well fuck me. Crew ticket rep sent me something that says USSF will be contacting me in the next 24 hours and that it isn't guaranteed tickets but is a preferred lotto
I would have planned to renew anyway but it pisses me off that they're selling 2017 season tickets on the promise of guaranteed tickets and it's a lotto. I'm pissed at them for just assuming it would be the same as it's always been. I'm pissed at USSF for not giving them notice that they were changing how it was for the club. Now I'm just hoping I'll be allowed to enter/win both lottos
Entered the AO lottery today but we're only group c. Really hope I get the four I applied for so I don't have to deal with finding them elsewhere.
All the groups go into the same lotto. They just split it up into the groups so not everyone was logging on at once because no matter how many times they say entering earlier doesn't help your odds everyone will get on when their window opens. Didn't want to overload the ticket site
I really wanna make it to this match in the future. Reading the last few pages is just giving me headache. How much would I have to pay in the secondary market to attend this match without any USSF or AO affiliation in my background? $500 a pop?
That sounds about right but USSF is trying to do away with he secondary market. AO is saying if I buy tickets for my friends I can't even transfer them to those friends and it's all mobile ticketing. AO members can only transfer tickets through the AO site to other AO members for face value. So you could always get the $24 AO membership to try to buy that way if people put extras on there
Seems unnecessary, there hasn't really been much to talk about that it was distracting from until later when I imagine people might talk about Pulisic being the best player on the pitch. Plus at this point the lottos are out there and there isn't really anything to talk about anymore until the lottos are done which I was told the card wouldn't be charged until like 10/10 so it'll be quiet for a few weeks. I'll start a PM so that at that point if guys have extras and other need them it can be sorted out. If anyone wants in the ticket PM just let me know
This is a really good sign. Making the 18 for a big UCL match is great. Obviously if Reus was healthy things might be different.
