I dont like prog with only clean vocals. So i'd argue you and joe are the ones who like castrated prog metal.
Have you been to Tonic Lounge/Panic Room/The Raven recently? Vektor is playing there November 12th I believe. I'm going whether it's shitty or not because it's like $10 for advance tickets If I had more of an entrepreneur's spirit, I would find a location and open a venue to compete with the Hawthorne Theater in Portland, because the Hawthorne sucks in every possible way.
I was listening to metal when you were still playing ken Griffey jr baseball. Stay in your lane Get off my lawn
i'm not offended. it's just a dumb comment that doesn't mean anything. you're drunk and talking shit. that's fine with me.
Working my way through the new Red Fang again. First attempt didn't go well but it could have simply been a bad night for new albums as my mind was still on the cat I watched die in pain in the middle of the road a few hours before.
Couple good tracks on new Red Fang, seems like standard operating procedure for them. Just listened to some prog band I never heard of before, new 2016 album, reminds me of Opeth (newer) in some ways.
Worst part is it was completely avoidable had the 18-20 year old girl been paying attention to what was in front of her and not her phone. She did at least pull over, but was crying hysterically and in no condition to drive after that. Then some bitch was honking at me to get out of the road, she's lucky I didn't put my fist through her window. Cat got its back side completely crushed and paralyzed, front side was trying to frantically run but couldn't go anywhere, it kept reaching back and biting itself probably thinking something had its backside and wasn't letting go. Took a few minutes for the cat to bleed internally and pass away.
i'm seeing my favorite band in 8 days. i already looked at the setlist. it's gonna be cool. probably gonna consume a strong edible .
Can Opeth fill the Roseland? I don't see The Sword being a huge draw, not sure who else if anyone is on the bill. Wasn't there a Ghost show there last night or tonight?
Ghost is there tomorrow night. I just bought a ticket for Opeth like an hour ago, so I would imagine that it won't be sold out.
Super fun. Very high energy throughout. Sound was great, crowd was amped. I sprung for VIP tickets and got a cool "signed" poster. Signed is in quotes as the Ghouls just stamp their symbols on it. Had great seats in the balcony center stage. Played for 1:45. Highly recommended show for anyone who isn't super uptight and elitist about their metal.
I did, it didn't resonate with me at all. I doubt I ever listen to it again, just prefer a different style of BM.
