Really just keeps your knees warm. If you buy them tight enough you get a little bounce but not material
I use plain old Ace bandages with Rehband sleeves over them when I squat. It's gotten to the point where squatting is getting really painful on my old knees and the wraps helps to alleviate some of that pain. #imacheater
I think I fucked something up in my right forearm. Pain when I grip stuff and grip strength like an accountant. Might take a few days off to see if it fixes itself.
when the gym body is perfect and the big fake titties are popping out of the top while she's squatting Spoiler ...and then she deadlifts!
not getting the shoulder progress that i want. chest numbers are slowly going up on flat bench etc. Stalled at trying to do seated DB press 55#s 3x10.
Two months out from hernia repair and yesterday I just started having some of the pain and numbness in the same spot. I really hope I didn't just fucking do it again and have to have another surgery.
have y'all done dry needling before? had a hip impingement all week from sleeping wrong (bought a new mattress too) and have gotten two dry needling treatments. it's already relieved. shit is awesome
I have a few friends that are P.A.s and they won't shut up about it. They've had a lot of success with it. Edit: They're PTs not PAs.
i'm definitely sold. going to keep going back because he said he can help my posture with it too. I have the epitome of desk neck/shoulders and it's killing me
thankfully grip game skrong. except my right hand is a little limp right now, got tangled in a wakeboarding rope I've been kicking my own ass this summer
4 weeks out tomorrow. Hit some paused squats last night 355 for 3x3 then 5 paused singles at 405 that felt like butter. No doubt in my mind I'm hitting at least 227.5kg/502lbs next month.
I've been so off my game. Got sick and didn't lift for 2 weeks. Diet went to shit. Work is insane. Can't sleep for shit. Did basically a main lift only week of 531 this past week just to get back in the habit. Time to get back to real shit.
I'm in a similar boat. I've been to Nashville, Chattanooga, Asheville, and knoxville all in the past ten days for gym related stuff but no working out (bodybuilding shows and buying/selling equipment). I haven't been happier in years because I've gotten out of this boring town for a few days, but my gym performance is whack right now.
Do you flip machines/craigslist stuff? I saw a business around me where they pretty much stick equipment from gyms going out of biz in a warehouse, then resell to new gyms and the occasional home gym. Personally I've only bought weights and a basic bench/squat stand and put some elbow grease in to clean it up, but it's nice that this stuff (especially plates) doesn't lose value
There are a few places in NC that do this. I'm probably going to start flipping to acquire more stuff. You can find some pretty awesome stuff on CL at times. It's pretty funny seeing what some people think they can get though.
The last six weekends in a row recently. It ebbs and flows, and I'm only helping out. It's my buddy's primary source of income.
LMAO... like this one... $45,000 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Home-Gym-lo...e5e73b6:g:lf4AAOSw~XpZQsG3&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true
It doesnt do a damn thing https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2832641/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28106306
I could be wrong and I didn't read too far, but those look like they address acupuncture, which is different from dry needling.
tons of overlap between the two...its a placebo but here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26946612 http://www.kine-formations.com/attachment/574647/ also the fact that people think they can hit a "trigger point" is ridiculous... two good blog posts about it...yes blog post but he cites his sources https://thesports.physio/2014/09/14/soft-tissue-sore-spots-of-an-unknown-origin/ https://thesports.physio/2014/05/05/diagnostic-palpation-is-it-a-skill-an-art-or-an-illusion/ Not trying to be an ass or anything its just one of my biggest pet peeves as a PT. Save your money and use a lacrosse ball or something and youll trigger the same pain control theory that will get rid of the knots or release the trigger points.
We do a lot of business with one of the places in NC. We do powdercoating in Knoxville when necessary. As long as you don't intentionally abuse equipment or leave it in the weather then a sandblast followed by some uniform paint can make old stuff look like a million dollars. A big roll of vinyl and a staple gun and you got yourself a stew going. Occasionally we're stuck wire wheeling old dumbells or something, but that's only worth it if it's Ivanko tier equipment. We're turning many pieces into a few nice pieces for our gym plus a little folding money for our trouble.
Anyone ever use the old jack3d preworkout with DMAA? A buddy of mine just found a new pre with that in it but I thought that shit was completely banned? I'm scared to try it, but I'm scared of pretty much everything.
