typo. The kirkland balls are made by nassau who manufactures taylormade balls, which is what I meant. Hence the reason achushnet is suing costco/kirkland.
I offered it to the #Notre Dame Fighting Irish contingent but no one expressed interest aside from Don't Hate Me Bro! So I did what I did.
Want a good, extremely lightweight sun shirt I can wear this summer at the pool/beach. I am very white and burn in ~10-15 min, so thinking about some of these lightweight fly fishing shirts. I've considered the Patagonia version: I've seen adds for FreeFly as well that looks really light anyone have positive experiences?
not sure but don't forget to look on www.steepandcheap.com if you dat Patagucci, may not be same as you've pictured but should have viable options for what you need(I mean us pale folk need)
dahldennsull didn't have any Patagonia but found this https://www.steepandcheap.com/rvca-...sdHM6cmFzaCBndWFyZHM6MTozNTpyYXNoIGd1YXJkcw==
Dermatologist recommended. You should still wear sunscreen, too, but it makes a remarkable difference.
Just asked a good friend who is the chairman of Dermatology at a major health system. Her response: the consensus is that it can be helpful for days when a person is in sun for long periods of time (i.e. beach trip). not mono-protection though! sun screen still needs to be regularly applied. Checks out.
Do you have to take it every day and build it up in your system or can you just take it on days you're going to be in the sun.
Yeah I don't think a pill is going to stop the long term harmful effects of UV rays, definitely keep up with the SPF
GLVs are my fav Asics. I have 3 pair. They’re more comfortable to me than the GLIIIs. The split tongue is a cool luck but I love the comfort and the colorways on my Vs.
Piggy backing on the sun shirt. Any Recs on just normal thin cotton hoodies? I have one from of all places Old Navy that I like for trips to the store, etc. but it is damn near dead.
After the Next Level shirt discussion ITT the other day, I checked it out and ordered this... www.amazon.com/Next-Level-Apparel-Tri-Blend-Military/dp/B01BTMOW2E
They make a detergent called SunGuard that you wash you clothes with and it gives a SPF 30 rating. I have a cheap lightweight hoodie that I wash in it to use for wade fishing in the summer.
Going to try this, i'm leaving for a week long cruise in a few days and this could be badass if it really works like people are saying. Do you still tan?
I guess. I haven't really used it on a beach trip or anything like that. But, I've taken it before hiking being outside all day and haven't gotten burned when I typically would.
I have both of these, and don’t think you can go wrong with either. My Patagonia is 10+ years old, and a little bit heavier than the FreeFly, but I’m sure they’ve redesigned in that span with lighter material. Columbia also makes a PFG hoodie that I wear a lot working because it’s cheaper. Doesn’t breathe quite as well, but for the price I have no complaints.
When you're younger you assume someone has their shirt on by the pool bc they're fat. Then you get older and you're like ah yeah don't really want to get melanoma
Took Heliocare when we went to Cuba last year, doing tourist shit outside all day and it worked remarkably well. Its not a sunscreen replacement but you notice a difference for sure.
i wear the columbia fishing shirts a lot. summer days fishing barrier islands, you'll get roasted without them.
I'm pretty sure his aren't hand made without the use of technology. They may not be laser cut, but we are splitting hairs here.
