I’ve seen some rumors about the clippers wanting to move up to nab MPJ. Saw the bulls mentioned as a possible slot to move into.
I say fuck it, let him walk if they offer Max money. We’ll continue in tank mode and hopefully rebuild in the lottery....ya know respect the process.
Hard to justify max money to a kid who can’t shoot on a team that is being built around the 3 point shot. I’m fine with him walking. Rather get a top 3-5 pick in the upcoming draft filled with some top tier wing prospects.
I’m not sure hoiberg is the long term answer for the team either but as long we’re in tank mode fuck it....at least him and gar/pax will get along.
This is absolutely revisionist, but Indiana got an All NBA guard and MIP for Paul George, and the Bulls might end up a defensive stopper for Jimmy.
I think Chicago is still banking on Dunn. But I don't see it. Either way this franchise is proven it does average better than anyone else in the league
Current rumors have Chicago interested in Rodney Hood. I like Hood and he would be a nice addition or replacement for Lavine
Reinsdorfs are so passive, especially when they pack the arena every night and make buttloads of money.
I wonder how he’ll fit into hoibergs offense? I know Fred wants to space it out and run and carter doesn’t really fit that mold.
Looks like Chicago is about to make some moves... Talks of signing Jabari Parker and then eating the contracts of someone like Deng or Melo for future draft picks.
I like the Parker signing maybe for no other reason than he’s a Chicago kid. I know he’s talented but injury prone.
Two year deal. Just wish we hadn't matched LaVine. Cap space would have been cleared for Anthony Davis and someone else in 2020. Wish they had used that LaVine cap space to take on a bad contract like Deng. Would Lakers trade Lonzo and Deng for Lopez and Dunn?
Its un fucking real that Paxson still has a job. Counting interim coaches, he's on his 9th head coach. If hes allowed the next hire it'll be his 5th (Skiles, Del Negro, Thibs, Hoiberg, new hire). Thats amazing
Finding it hard to even want to check the score of their games. The fun of even caring about the team is gone and destroyed.
Levine is a boarderline Allstar. He’s not a superstar. Porter I have no clue on how to judge. Before he signed his deal the upside looked like all star level and young. But he’s not been that player this season. It’s an awful big risk to roll the dice on a player making that type of money. It’s clear that players (free agents) have zero desire to play for this franchise. Ever since the end of the Dynasty fair or unfair this ownership has been labeled anti player. And when you see some of the crazy shit they have allowed since there not doing anything to counter that line of thinking. My guess is they know there not going to be a player for anyone in the free agent market this off-season or next and decided to roll the dice. Pretty depressing tbqh. Let’s just hope they don’t start winning games and fuck us out of any chance to land Zion
We keep winning and we can kiss both guys goodbye... We lack a legit PG on this roster. Dunn is nothing more than a backup/role guy.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and get the cold envelope trick for a top 2 pick. Although I think the Knicks and Lakers would probably win before us.
Bulls sitting 2.5 games out of the 14% chance and they go and win two in a row at the same time the team they are chasing (Cleveland) wins two in a row. fuck us
He would need to fall... If we want Ja we need a top 2 pick imho. We are looking at someone like Barrett, Culver, Reddish at 4
We're pretty locked into the 4th spot with an outside shot at the third. Given the new rules, we only have a slightly worse shot at the top pick as the bottom three. There's not much more we can accomplish with the tanking. We're there already.
We have to get a PG unfortunately, wonder if it would be worth it to move the 4th for a starting caliber PG?
Further, we have around a 36% chance at a top 3 pick. The bottom three teams have around a 37.5 % chance.
They don't have the cap space to really work a deal for a top PG addition via trade I don't belive. I wouldn't be against them moving down in the draft and selecting a kid like Colby White (unc) and picking up future picks.
Saw the bulls have a 12.5% chance of 1st, 48.1% of top 4 Getting to 3rd would change that to 14% and 52.1%
or we could've just lost the last two games and we would be in a dead heat for the 3rd spot... either way need some lotto luck because we likely are missing out on Zion dna Ja
Read somewhere we have close to 19 mill next year to spend. I know a decent FA won’t sign with us but moving the 4th pick for a starting PG is realistic for 19 mill
