The One Plus 7 Pro is the best phone on the market. If the Pixel 4 doesn't get a 90 hz refresh rate and some larger ram capabilities, it will remain so.
It's a total ocd thing but I dont like the folders on my home screen. I have a couple widgets and that's it.
It's bullshit that something so simple doesn't work on a flagship phone. I've also had the weird screen flashes, those don't impact anything performance wise that I'm aware about so I haven't complained much. My Samsung, old HTCs, every other Android has been pretty much flawless except this pixel 3. I may go to OnePlus or back to Samsung or something next time.
No. They've been around for many years. They got off to a pretty rocky start due to poor quality control, poor customer service, and backing out on promises they made but the last couple years or so they have righted the ship. Like 3 years ago there was zero chance I would have even considered a OnePlus phone, but if I stick with Android for my next purchase, OnePlus is going to be very much in the running.
no dessert name. they're ditching that with this latest release and will just go with numbers going forward to avoid confusion.
Scared to do the update because my phone's gotten stuck in a reboot loop several times recently when I've restarted it.
Has not messed anything up for me. I dig the new icons. Haven't fully looked at the new features yet but so far so good.
Went ahead and switched to the blackboard on TMB yesterday with the update. Things are still trippy right now but I'm coming down slowly.
You're being played, son. He was talking about the top banner (TMB Logo, Menu, Profile, Alerts, etc) not locking to the top after updating
For the most part I'm fine with the update. However, HOLY FUCK app switching is so slow now. I fucking hate it.
Sounds like Samsung got the Fold right. Really thinking about trying it. https://www.cnet.com/news/revamped-...istakes-whats-new-in-samsungs-foldable-phone/
I swear this always happens to me. I was just getting to the point where "new phone doesnt matter anymore" and damn if my screen doesnt crack and have me wanting a new phone.
I'm still getting used to the gestures. It will prob be another week before I am comfortable with them all.
It is fully optional. You can keep the two button mode or even the old three button mode. After a week, I'm fully on board with the gestures now. Especially using "swipe right" on the left edge of the screen in place of the back button.
I like the gestures but to use them it forces you to use the default Google home launcher app, which is mediocre. I'd rather use Nova Launcher or Action Launcher and the two or three button mode. than be forced to use Google's launcher to get gestures.
Been using the gestures for a while now since I was on the beta. The official release is so much better than the beta was. Thank God too because I was about to go back.
My wife's refusal to take her phone off of silent mode is going to be the death of me. Is there an app or way to bypass that and make it ring in certain situations? She already has priority calls set up for nighttime, but I need a daytime personal exemption
can you give yourself a personal ringtone while also setting her default ringtone as an empty/noiseless audio file? That is probably not perfect but it would help for phone calls...
