The setup is stupid. Half of the time they are talking about whether or not something "would fly" today (and as whiny as they might be they have decent arguments in that respect) and the other half they are talking about whether a joke still works or not.
Takeaways: Tori is absolutely beautiful. Christopher doesn't take anything too seriously. I'd hang out with that guy. Morgan needs to jump off a cliff.
I mean its fine if you dont like seinfeld or dont find it funny. But its not in any way insulting and women arent made to look like the bad guy. Its a show where every character has plenty of flaws. men and women are equally fucked up on that show which probably mirrors irl pretty well imo.
I don't know if I laugh at any scene more than George getting choked by the bubble boy yelling back "Moops!"
I’ve been watching for the first time during work days while work from home. I like it way more than I imagined I would. I’ve run into the finale and I’m actually kind of sad that it’s almost over for the first time. Going to wait on the finale until I can fully pay attention. Definitely need a rewatch to catch the plethora of things I missed. Was also surprised at the amount of gags I recognized from their used in other places.
I’d caught little bits at 2AM on like fox but that’s it. Finally subscribed to Hulu Ave decided to give it a shot. I’ve seen a lot of tv for the first time on streaming in the last 5ish years.
Remember how they had a running story about Seinfeld making a show about himself and how it struggled to get anywhere for a long time (I could be remembering wrong)? I think that was a satire of what it took to get the real show to air. Just a theory that I have never researched
Yeah the show was on the verge of cancellation until mid season 4. Then a lightswitch flipped and it fired off like a rocket
What's crazy is the low rated season episodes still pulled in 10mm viewers. That's insane compared to the present day
This account is rad. Former wardrobe manager, some of the posts include q/a where she indulges silly shit and explains for example how they did the puffy coat, and confirms that George pretty much only ever had one tie owing to Jerry having the idea that "George isn't a guy with a closet full of ties. He has a tie" https://instagram.com/seinfeldbackstage
