We keep the trend of playing our best ball in the big games and we’ll win in the playoffs by double digits no matter who we play
We’re not a perfect team by any stretch, but I feel a lot more confident when I look at the potential contenders. The teams that have talent have coaches who are in over their heads or have declined. The teams with good coaching have subpar talent. I’m not saying we will win it by any means. Just that if we don’t, it’s not because some other team is better. It would be because we choked, and we seem to do that less with Kirby.
I am really interested to see us play today in a controlled weather environment. If we play well today and cruise I'm not going to worry about any opponent going forward.
Kirby would never do it for a bunch of different reasons, but it would be fascinating to see what the response would be around the country if we treated this game like an NFL preseason game and lost by 3 scores. Like, starters get 1 quarter of work and then all backups working on things for the rest of the game. It might break the entirety of college football commentators.
I've run through scenarios in my head and if TCU and Michigan win and we lose... how does the seeding work? They're not going to want a rematch of OSU-Michigan
Seems like it would be unavoidable in that scenario. I don't see any way OSU jumps an undefeated TCU to get to 3.
Yeah I think you’re right. They’d be stuck with the osu-Michigan rematch. There’s just no way around it.
Re-do thanksgiving is in progress. I have a cajun turkey breast and rosemary herb turkey breast in the sous vide, whipping up some dressing, mashed taters and gravy, roasted root vegetables I got from the farmers market this morning(So it only cost me 20$ more than it would in a normal grocery store) in an hour or so. Neighbors bringing over white chocolate oreo cheesecake, green bean casserole, creamed spinach, roasted cauliflower and au gratin potatoes. OM NOM NOM NOM
Sucks that USC got exposed last night. I believe we would be a 80/20 favorite over them. We are better than OSU but that is more like a 60/40 or 55/45 game. Just a ton of five star talent on their squad. That will be a tougher game than whatever we would have in the final but at least the OSU game is likely in ATL.
That's what I hope Kirby has used as motivation, along with going undefeated/wing the SEC/etc. We get basically a home game if we win which should be a huge plus for the Georgia guys on the team
My coworker who is pretty dialed in is adamant that his shoulder is jacked up. I’d assume that’s nothing new but figured I’d share. My crew just headed to Northside tavern
That's been the rumor all year that his shoulder is fucked up. Site guys aren't even sure if he's hurt or not.
Yeah he's been dealing with it off and on, we'll see how it goes, I'd love to see him try and air it out but its probably going to be our brand of boring football post oregon.
Nah you still should be favored 75-25 in that matchup. You guys are just us with more talent. They won’t be able to slow you guys down as you slowly wear them down. And Stroud is pretty bad if you disguise your coverages well. He’s not like Williams or Young who can improvise well.
the good news is we can give up 500 yards passing and still win a game by 20 the bad news is we have to play Ohio State's passing attack
Yeah, I'm worried about the statement OSU is trying to prove against us. But I'll worry about that in 3 weeks. SEC champs baby
yea im worried we sit back initially like we did in 2021 seccg, we really need to blitz the shit out of them. bullard bullard bullard
Coming out and and getting after Hooker gives me hope that we'd do the same against Stroud. I don't know what tonight was.
hard to tell from where i was sitting but have to think entire focus was on QB spy going into week which in hindsight was dumb just given Daniels' health uncertainty. But Ringo was a disaster regardless.
USC would have been the perfect opponent annoyed they blew that. Really any scenario before all these teams lost would have given us a higher chance of winning the title
FTR I don’t care who we play. it’s prob safe to assume Kirby will have some higher levels of shit up his ass in practice, etc after the secondary’s performance yesterday.
Ultimately agree. If Stets plays like he did yesterday, we're 2 scores better than anybody in the country (though a couple of those throws could've were fucking terrible decisions that worked out).
Should've gone undefeated that year. The UT game was a comedy of errors and turnovers and should've beat Florida too. Might've changed the narrative against those teams for the entire decade.
I could be misremembering the Florida game. I know the year after was the rainy timeout game, but the Tennessee game was a complete shitshow. Fumbled the opening KO and Hastings had 2 more fumbles in the game. That 92 team was really good.
