Keep giving them bombs, Joe, and they'll keep dropping them on people, you fucking imbecile. Israel is going to drag us into a full blown regional war we cannot afford and certainly do not want.
I too am in mourning over high ranking commanders of a foreign terrorist organization dying in a targeted strike with no collateral damage.
Yes, I'm sure Iran won't retaliate for this, they never do. Anyway, Iran - as shitty as they are - are not the ones committing genocide right now, Israel is.
Iran already was attacking Israel. The guys they killed were al-quds in charge of Lebanon where rockets are being fired daily into Israel. They also killed a high ranking PIJ member too.
"Rebuilding it's intelligence after October 7th" hahahahahahahah Absolutely silly nonsense. You don't build this level of intelligence in a few months. They knew they would be attacked and allowed it to happen. Anyone that doesn't believe it is simply delusional.
They were warned by multiple sources and completed looked over it. Russia did the same shit with the mall attack
Yeah. But, they didn't need to be warned. They simply didn't give a shit about those kids at a rave. They saw the bigger picture.
The easiest way for Israel to shift public sentiment back in their favor would be if Iran became overtly involved.
Well, maybe, but I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Israel doesn't care about the world's sentiments towards them, provided those shipments of bombs and missiles from the United States keep arriving on schedule. I think this is a direct response to the US abstaining at the UN last week -- has nothing to do with Iran's pinprick missile launces or the drone attempt at Israel's Red Sea naval base yesterday. Everything Bibi does should be viewed with these 2 goals in mind: 1. Keeping his ruling coalition in place; appearing strong at home (willing to act unilaterally) 2. Humiliating / weakening Joe Biden enough that he loses the election this fall. Remember: any regional war (and the US has far more butter soft targets in the region than Israel does) will inevitably drag in the US, and it will be America's sons and daughters dying in the desert, not Israel's.
Put it another way, as daft and ham-fisted as Biden's Middle East policy has been the past 6 months, I can't see any scenario where the US signs off on Israel bombing the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Syria. Not with our own USG buildings (embassies, consulates, etc.) and thousands of USG employees (and their families) overseas basically sitting ducks for retaliation. ~ Iran retaliating against the US and not Israel is basically a dream scenario for Bibi and the rest of his fascist regime, which is exactly why I think they pulled this stunt.
the video is graphic, fair warning. Think this is a case where we should all wait until there's something official out of Jose Andres / WCK before believing the bots on twitter.
7. Getting foreign nationals into the strip to hand out food would have been 100% coordinated with the Israeli government. So they knew they were there and would know exactly where they were set up. The strip isn't that big, it's flat. So, either a.) the Israeli government sadistically set them up to be killed, b.) some bored IDF pilot decided to waste some more people for the fuck of it, or c.) some sort of automated AI targeting system decided that they were a legit target based on the shape of their skulls or something and called in a bombing run.
The missile hit going through the "we are aid workers" logo is honestly hack writing on Season 2024 of History. Like that's some day-time TV level shit. Looking at the hole I'm assuming that it was hit with something Hellfire-or-Hellfire-adjacent, so if they hit multiple vehicles (I'm assuming all 7 weren't in that one truck given the size) that means they were probably engaged my multiple aircraft. So not one oopsiedoodle, but multiple groups of people going "yup, fuck up all three of those".
Ridiculous to even ask Israel for an "official investigation" --- they knew exactly what they were doing when they murdered these people.
Israel will face no consequences and the US will continue to arm them and Palestinians and innocent aid workers will continue to be massacred. Fuck the Israeli government and every government allowing aid supporting this.
Is it time to start discussing ITT how Donald Trump will be running to the left of Joe Biden on Middle East policy / Palestine? Or should I move that the Joe Biden thread?
I just find it hilarious that people are shocked that Isreal targeted and murdered aid workers this is a country that has been targeting and murdering journalists, targeting and murdering women and children on the breadline, targeting and murdering women and children in general, deliberately causing a famine of 2 million people, bombing every hospital in Gaza into simply being unusable, killing peaceful protestors, murdering the hostages they’re supposedly trying to save FOLKS THEYRE NAZIS THIS IS WHAT NAZIS DO. We’re also Nazis if we continue to arm them. This is disgraceful and anyone defending yep ur also a Nazis and fuck you
Trump would encourage them to actually nuke Gaza. The difference between Biden and Trump on Gaza is one would just be openly happy about child murder while the other will have folks write cryptic stories about how he supposedly hates Netanyahu despite still not even hesitating to arm him but ALSO being happy about child death no one Is going to save those people. We’re enabling a genocide and I don’t want to hear any whining from folks the day this inevitably comes back to haunt us.
I don’t think one follows the other. I’m certain they have a lower threshold for opening fire in Gaza than they do when targeting Iranians in Syria.
I mean, that was the point of the tweet. They could decide to show more caution for civilians in Gaza. They deliberately do not and are instead expecting the world to believe there is no other way.
I read the tweet as alleging a similar level of precision in every use of force in Gaza as seen here. I can see how I’m probably misreading that but I don’t think the scenarios are particularly comparable when you’re talking about an effort to fight an entire militant organization vs a targeted strike on leadership.
The difference of course being these Iranians weren’t hiding inside of a building filled with civilians. I’m sure they won’t make that mistake again
I'm not stating this as a fact, just putting it out there as a theory. He's been noticeably restrained in his messaging on Gaza as of late and I think anything left of Biden's "Israel uber alles" stance is going to be a winner in Michigan, Wisconsin, likely other states he lost in 2020.
I guess if you pretend like Trump's first term didn't happen where he recognized Israeli settlements in the West Bank and moved the embassy to the capital his administration recognized in Jerusalem
