Where do they go now? The better midmajor coaches already took new jobs, and what big P5 name is out there that would take the job? Lloyd? Cronin?
I suppose youre right. There's been so much turnover the past couple years. Bigger names are out. Maybe Beard, Shaka, Pearl, are the 'bigger names'. I think
#Illinois Fightin' Illini whays your thoughts on Chester Frazier? Sounds like he's going to be Devries top assistant
Alabama, Houston, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State and Texas A&M are all on board, sources said. The eighth and final school for the 2024 event will emerge from a small group that is still being deliberated. The Players Era Festival is not being pitched as a one-year happening, either. Plans are to double the size of the field, sources told CBS Sports, with 16 teams as the target for 2025 and beyond. Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan, Syracuse and Virginia have all engaged in discussions about potentially playing in 2025. If they opt in, they'd be joined by most (if not eventually all) of the schools playing in 2024, many of which have already signed up for a three-year agreement, according to sources.
They won’t be fun to watch because Pikiell plays a style that’s not fun to watch but they will probably be pretty good
He's definitely a douche but he used to come on sports radio here in KC and generally was a good guest. He also had 2 of my favorite sports radio moments I've ever heard - when he got pulled over while on the air and also when he said his wife was "Jewish by injection."
I'll forget he's a thing again until this thread gets bumped with tweets pointing out his failures at which point I will likely chuckle
The entirety of his coaching experience is 2 tournaments in the Maccabiah games. Once as an assistant in 2009 and as a HC in 2017 This is going to be great
Less coaching experience than that might get someone the Lakers' job. I don't understand the Gottlieb thing from either side. This is just embarrassing for Green Bay to allow that arrangement. And Gottlieb has been trying to be a HC in college for a long time, and now he gets a chance and he won't give up the radio job to put all his energy into it?
