I actually do the opposite. I like to keep stuff for people to try. If I have a really good bottle that is almost done I'll keep it around for others. I've probably got about 175 open
This is what I do too. Probably 75% of my opened bottles have less than half left. And about 25-30% have 5 ounces or less left.
I bought a couple single barrel bourbons a couple years ago and wasn’t very impressed. But, that could just be a result of bad picks, and not necessarily an indictment on the brand as a whole.
My boss and I were gifted new Riff bottles for Christmas 2 years ago by a vendor that did a barrel pick. Has their logo laser etched on the bottle. We opened it and the nose was excellent and I started thinking that I had just had bad new Riff selections in the past. Took a drink and it was so bad. The finish was awful. Mine is still on my shelf, unopened. Anyone can have it for free if you pay for a label. Maybe it's just not for me. I don't know.
Best stuff at Lux Row ? Gonna suggest the double single barrel 12 year No idea if that’s attainable sounds like some good bottles were procured at Willet earlier today May have em go back to get some others
Noah’s Mill and Willett Pot Still Gonna try to convince them to go back for the family estate before they leave
i meannnn i would take you up on that free bottle (pre label) if you were serious. i have been intrigued by riff, but never grabbed it (even though that sounds like a good thing based on this thread)
Funny enough the only 2 minis I have outside of Blanton are these two. Haven’t tried New Riff but pot still tastes like what I think diarrhea would taste like.
Packing up for an overnight camping trip. “This half bottle of EHT should be fine.” … “Better bring this New Riff barrel proof too. Just in case.”
I am disappointed in the shitting on new riff, i only have good picks from them some of their limiteds land really high on minniks end of year lists tools
