I flipped it on a few minutes ago. Announcers didn't say anything. I thought it was a seizure at first.
Me too, it looked like he was convulsing before they turned the camera away. Then the announcers said something about resuscitation and a cardiac situation, which sounds dire. I hope that isn't the case and there is no way they could have known that I suppose unless the actually saw them trying to resuscitate him.
Turned it on after it happened. To see the entire crowd just completely silent was chilling. Hope he makes it through this.
I'm pretty sure this guy unfortunately probably isn't going to make it after reading that. It's insane how a person that young, with that type of physical fitness can collapse like that.
Unbelievable. I hope the commentators were wrong (saying how it looked like he wasn't going to make it) and he pulls through. I wasn't watching (studying), so I have no way of knowing how bad it looked.

They didn't really show it. The first glimpse showed what almost looked like convulsing and after that they kept the cameras off. The reaction of the fans/players and the fact he was being resuscitated on the field is what made it look so bad.
I keep updating The Guardian page and nothing so far 7.30pm It's now an hour since Muamba was taken to hospital in an ambulance. That was the last update
7.30pm It's now an hour since Muamba was taken to hospital in an ambulance. That was the last update. I hope that tweet ChileanNole posted ends up being correct. The longer this goes without good news the worse it could be though. They would probably try and let the team/public know if he has started to pull out of it but if things went the other direction they would have to notify his family before releasing any information.
Bolton released a statement saying he's "critically ill" at the heart attack center. Not sure what that means but the first stage is always the most dire. Buddy suffered the widowmaker when he was 23, made it out though after a lot of people were saying he was very likely gonna die.
Hope he comes through this. As an asthmatic this shit really scares me. Never know when the game you love might do you in.
Bolton announce that Fabrice Muamba heart is now beating without the help of medication and he's also moving his arms and his legs.
Djourou went to see him today - the sign of him should make any midfielder feel much better get better Fabrice!
I think it was Steve Nash that tweeted something to the effect of Real Madrid wearing Abidal shirts and all of soccer wishing for Muamba's recovery is why it's called the beautiful game.

Henry flew from Salt Lake after his game to NY to London to see Muamba. Should be some cool gestures today for him during the EPL games. Picture of Arsenal 04/05 team with Cesc, Bendtner, Muamba, and Djourou. Won't let me embed. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27453474@N02/6993439019/
"Two hours after [regaining consciousness] I whispered in his ear, 'What's your name?' and he said, 'Fabrice Muamba'. I said 'I hear you're a really good footballer' and he said 'I try'. I had a tear in my eye." The consultant added: "We don't want to get ahead of ourselves but as things stand his life is not in danger at this time. It is early days so it is not possible to say [if he'll play again]."
So this is what could have happened if the game took place in India, D. Venkatesh died of cardiac arrest during a soccer match. No ambulance at the stadium, had to be taken in a 3 wheeled auto-rickshaw. http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/story/_/id/7721223/d-venkatesh-bangalore-mars-dies-collapsing-field
God watching Sportscenter try to cover soccer can be funny sometimes. They just reported on Fabrice Muamba getting out of the hospital and had his face in front of a Birmingham City icon instead of Bolton. I can't believe they actually showed Arsenal vs. Wigan highlights either, they fucked a couple things up there as well.
