Anyone doing Whistlestop this weekend? I'm only going to be able to go Friday night. Always some good BBQ.
A few weeks ago I was browsing a real estate website and somehow came across a house by Sparkman High School. What was notable about this house is that there is a full size football field (with field goals) in their back yard. I figured this has to be someone of (relative) significance but don't know enough about the area to even have a quality guess. Maybe one of you can tell me? Picture of the property on Google Earth. The building on the left must be some other school or a branch of Sparkman HS.
Interesting. I've just been wondering why whomever the owner is/was would want a full size football field in their back yard but to each their own, I suppose.
Nah. To Bham. That house just stood out on some realty search site that I was using and I couldn't help but wonder about it.
Him and his son have gotten some tattoo work done at Kreations. My friends said they are super nice guys.
Twickenham/downtown and went to Randolph my folks moved over 10 years ago but my formative years were spent there and I'm always coming back in town
$25 a head? What does that get you? Anything? Food? I imagine beer is not included? I haven't been in years. I have a friend whose dad is probably cooking in it so maybe I can bum a pass.
$25 per day. $35 for both. Just gets you in the gate. No food or drinks included. Can't bring alcohol in (we always sneak some in in our chair bags.). We know a few people cooking so that's the only way to get free food. Most people will have samples of their BBQ. If I didn't have free passes, no way in hell would I go.
colonel_forbin get your friends dad to bring in your liquor with him. Easiest way. Also, if my buddy doesn't want my passes for Saturday, I'll give them to you. I'm only going Friday.
Good thinking and yeah, hit me up. I was supposed to be going to Nashville on Saturday for an engagement party but my friend texted me and said he was ordering the Mayweather fight at his house and I haven't been to Whistlestop in years so I may have to stay in town.
Silent Disco de Mayo!!!! http://www.al.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2015/04/cinco_de_mayo_goes_silent_disc.html
http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/index.ssf/2015/05/huntsville_police_identify_dui.html The police department released 11 hot spots where safety checks will be conducted but said the checks may occur anywhere in the city. The announced locations are: Interstate 565 University Drive (U.S. Highway 72) Memorial Parkway (U.S. Highway 231) Bailey Cove Road Weatherly Road Drake Avenue California Street Sparkman Drive Pulaski Pike Jordan Lane (Alabama Highway53) Moores Mill Road
It's always so easy to skip the one downtown. Just go like two red lights farther down Clinton and take a left to head to the interstate or parkway.
Ehh I don't know. I'd rather go to Madison County High than New Hope High. That's not saying much at all though
A buddy of mine is at his show right now. Just texted & said Leno is absolutely killing it right now.
