I go through 2 shirts a day at the gym. Sweat machine. I dont smell though because deodorant and clean clothes.
Pioneer fit posting a 700 lb deadlift for 8 reps wearing their belt. If I had a pallet Jack I couldn't do that. Kermit reading the paper meme: I should get a belt.
I think he's working on snapping his achilles tendon. Theres a few more videos on his page that I couldnt post. I'd recommend checking them out.
These sprint cyclists have these massive quads, but don't have much upper body development. Looks pretty weird
On my lower percentage snatches, I catch it high then ride it down and it causes me to bottom out some. Pretty annoying.
you should be meeting the bar and riding it down to some extent on lighter lifts. I went to a coaching seminar with USAW olympic coach Daniel Camargo and he reinforces that behavior. If you've never followed any of his teaching you should think about looking into it. also fuck snatches.
Team no deodorant. I just don't stink, even after I train. My wife was flabbergasted when we moved in together and discovered that I don't own/wear deodorant. I guess it's my super power.
Even when you were eating a lb of butter a day? You still didn't stink? Super power is the only explanation. No wonder you like to hunt, you don't get "winded" like most of us normal humans
It was only about a stick of butter a day, but no. I guess I just don't have BO. Now if I spend 3 or 4 days out in the woods hunting with no access to a shower, I get a little ripe, but who doesn't.
I'll stink if I don't wear deodorant. I wear a shirt when I lift, put on a sweat shirt to do cardio, then I put on another shirt when I get done to wear home. It's so I don't stink up my car seat with the sweat. I wear the same 2 Razorback hooded sweatshirts every other day though and have done this for like 6 years. They're the same hoodie. One is mine and one was my brother's so every probably assumes I wear the same ratty hoodie every single day. They both smell pretty musty from all the sweat they've soaked up over the years. I noticed it today.
Historical tie-in: People in Victorian times usually only got to bathe about once a week. The style of wearing a full suit and coat, even in the heat of summer that is associated with Victorian fashion was purposely done to try and hide the stench. Only problem was that wearing all of that wool caused one to sweat and stink even more.
I wear them to soak up the sweat. If I do cardio in a tshirt I get sweat everywhere. The cup holders will have puddles in them and I sling it all over the floor.
Anything near 70 degrees and I'm hot. I have to stay huddled up over the fan on my desk or I'll just sweat my ass off at work. I don't mind it at the gym though. I wish it was warmer in there so I'd sweat even more actually. I did have a lady a few years back give me the stink eye when she got on an elliptical beside me. She kept looking at me and I took my ear bud out and she said "You know you're getting sweat everywhere". I said "yeah, it's a gym" and just kept going. It was one of those times I thought of a comeback at the right time instead of a few minutes later after you just said "Ok".
Probably. What's funny with you saying that is my brother played ball in college and didn't wear deodorant in games so he'd get bo and people might play back from him a bit. He also grew his fingernails out and filed them so he could rake them on people's arms on block outs and screens #gamehack #ballislife.
Did back squats for the first time today with my heels raised up on a 2x4. since i'm stiff as shit, i've found that by doing this i can finally get down below parallel and still keep my lower back in an ideal position. did 225 for a set of 15, then the plan was to do sets of 275 at 5 reps with 30-45 seconds of rest in between until i reached about 50 reps total. i made it to 30 reps and my legs felt like it was the first time i had ever squatted in my life. hamstrings and quads were aching. i could barely get through a few sets of light leg press before i was done for the day after only 40 mins of being at the gym. is this what i have been missing out on all these years not being able to squat to full depth? got some neoprene knee sleeves in the mail today too. wanted to try them out because my knees have been bothering me some. knees felt great the whole time i was squatting. good investment it would seem.
Back in the day when it was legal to stomp people, it was fairly common for rugby players to file their cleats.
Did a full back day Tuesday for the first time since comimg back. 135 185 225 x10 and then 275x3 on deadlift. Then rows and high pullrows to my chest then forehead. Finished off with three sets of body weight and hold extensions. I cant even bend over to tie my shoes this AM.
Why do people always feel the need to go hard af on the first day back? You aren't going to make up for lost time on one day at the gym. Not just you FightingCock I see that happen often.
Well ive only been going about every three days or so. I lifted for football for 9 years of my life so I have that mentality of 30-45 minutes of full go until Im spent. Plus Im 5'11" 235 so the numbers arent that impressive. Just inactivity has me really sore
Continuing to be unbelievably inconsistent. Without looking, probably eating 1500 ish cals/day. Just can't bring myself to do any cooking or anything. I never really want to eat and training feels like a hassle mostly because I train where I work and I've come to hate the place. Makes me anxious and irritable to even be there. I eat out all the time. Feels bad but doing the beach for MDW starting at 630 tonight and the girl I tragically give a fuck about graduated and is moving home so maybe that will help, too. Although I tend to think I just need to move and get the whole change of scenery thing. Still waiting to hear back from UMass re: some kind of housing opportunity so I can get up there for summer workouts and fall camp so hopefully I won't have to spend my whole summer at this god forsaken job. Did squat 385 for 2 singles on Monday which is pretty solid for me(had sunburn from the weekend and the bar made me bleed all over the place). Quads are still the limiting factor. Staying upright is just not something I'm any good at and the lack of accessory work I've done over the last, probably, 3 months isn't helping. Also benched 315 yesterday which I'm pretty pleased with. Small progress but I'm definitely short changing myself. Considering doing some high volume work coming up and maybe even some more athletic type stuff like unilateral work, some jumps/bounds and what not. **....DEAR, DIARY**
You need to see a dr. Seriously. You sound like you might need something for your mood. This is coming from someone who takes an anti-depressant.
When do you guys do deads? I feel like the rest of my workout is shot after I do deads, so I've started a new split so that they have their own day. Monday - Back Tuesday - Chest/Shoulders Wednesday - Deads/SLDL/Front Squats Thursday - Rest Friday - Chest/Shoulders Saturday - Legs (back squats) Sunday - Cardio
I usually start back day with those and then go either bent over rows tbar rows or somgle arm dumbell rows. Kind of like squatting to begin leg day. Only a manical motherfucker would put them at the end of a workout
I've kicked around the idea. The lack of interest in certain things scares me, to be completely honest, but I really think I'll be fine once I get things moving again. It's been a shitty, complete waste of a year and it's damn near 100% due to choices I've made so I've been kinda rough on myself since it was all avoidable. School in the fall. S&C work again starting this summer though so I should be able to get things moving again.
