So, it looks like it'll be back: http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/06/arrested-development-season-5-netflix/ Hopefully they can get the entire cast together for most of it.
Excellent news. I know Hurwitz said he wanted everyone back at the same time if they were going to do a s5, so my hopes are high.
I saw this a few seconds ago and thought, "Who will beat me at posting this at TMB?" Congrats, LKRFN88jp
The second half of season 4 was brilliant once it all came together but I hope that this season will be more straightforward and similar to the first three
i honestly don't know how i feel about this. i really really didn't like season 4. if they can figure out schedules and get people there together, it's got a chance. but unfortunately, i'm at the point where i wish they would have just let it be at 3 seasons.
I hope they release them one at a time instead of dumping them all at once. Seemed novel at the time, but I think episodic TV needs to be spread out. Like Yahoo did with Community.
also this, even though i know they wont. i despise the dump all at once model that netflix uses, while understanding why they do. i just don't enjoy watching tv like that
agreed. the only reason they're doing it for the one canadian show is because they're just the distributor of the show. they'll continue to do the dump all at once
You really need to watch it again. It gets better with every viewing. Is it as good as the first 3? No. It's still great TV and an amazing writing job.
They already have. Some Netflix original show I can't remember the name of is dropping one episode per week
it's not a netflix original. it's a canadian show, that netflix is serving as the american distributor. the shows are airing on city once a week and are put online at that time.
not nearly as popular as house of cards. not more well reviewed than orange is the new black. i doubt you'll see them change it up
Well I don't know if they'll change it, but Daredevil was the biggest Netflix show ever and scored the most views than any Netflix original show ever.
i had not seen that. the only thing i saw was a stat about more social chatter for cards the first month, or something like that. but if that's what was reported, then i was wrong. and happy. because fuck house of cards. go daredevil! just out of curiosity bigpig, where'd you see that it was the biggest netflix show ever? would be interested in reading that article
http://comicbook.com/2015/04/29/daredevil-appears-to-be-netflixs-most-watched-original-show/ I like House of Cards, but not as much as the BBC version. Overall I think Netflix has the best original shows of the three (Hulu and Amazon).
Yeah I didn't really like season 4 at all, it had it's moments but I don't think I ever even finished it... Hoping season 5 isn't that jumping all around style. (I guess I need to find some time to go re-watch / finish season 4)
i'd definitely recommend finishing it. the way it was filmed, it was definitely meant to be watched through because jokes in ep 1 came back in the last episode. once you do that, you'll more easily be able to say whether you liked it or not.
Did anyone ever watch the cutup someone made of the episodes being inserted into a full storyline, rather than storylines by character? I heard it was better.
Anyone familiar with the rumor that Michael and George Michael aren't father and son but are actually brothers (sons to George)? cliffs: George banged Tracy (Michael's wife) and Michael was unaware. He ended up raising GM assuming he was his son. So basically a dad slept with his son's lady. That's messed up. ...and it's exactly what happened in season 4 when Michael hooked up with Rebel Alley (who was seeing GM).
Is there something that hints that this happened or is this some random fan theory? Seems a little too messed up for this show.
has anyone heard the theory that buster is actually oscar's son? you have to look closely but they drop a few subtle hints in the show
Subtle stuff that I didn't bother posting. But remember how subtle this show can be. They dropped the "light treason" remark in like episode 3 of season 1 but didn't play it off until I think the third season. There's a doc floating around online that breaks it down; I'll try to find it.
I don't care for that theory. I feel like it would invalidate some of the more substantive stuff with Michael and George Michael in season one. You can't repaint Tracy as having two-timed Michael with his own father and then deceiving him into thinking GM is his son. It's just too negative and hurts the overall story.
I never saw it, just heard about it. Someone needs to find it, but it was a Reddit user: http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news...elopment-season-four-chronologically-20141030 A quick scan of that showed Hurwitz is doing it as well.
I'm watching the tail end of S4 right now and it is fucking brilliant. "I'm your dummy" "Hey, we don't say dummy around here. But you two Alge-tards are going to have to take special classes."
If The Tracy sleeping with George stuff was to actually get used im not sure if id finish season five.
Finally got around to watching season 4. First couple episodes were slow but then it really picked up and was right up there with seasons 1-3 imo. After all the buildup, Fakeblock ending up being just a fake wood block app absolutely destroyed me. That and GM's house party guests being just a bunch of sex offenders.
