    Ah ok. I was thinking friendlies still counted because of what I read below (from Wikipedia), but I guess neither team fielded their "A" teams.

    International "A" matches[edit]
    In October 2012, FIFA released a press circular defining what is considered to be an international "A" match.

    For the purposes of the ranking, FIFA defines an international "A" match as a match between two FIFA members for which both members field their first representative team ("A" team).

    The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking is based on a list of all international "A" matches that are recognised by FIFA.

    International "A" matches include matches played as part of the FIFA World Cup, FIFA World Cup qualifiers, FIFA Confederations Cup, continental final tournaments, continental qualifying competitions and international friendlies.

    Yea a friendly, and fitness and focus of the Germans obviously in some question, but I'm racking my brain and I'm not sure I've seen a better 60 mins from a senior US side than the one I just watched. Much elevated composure on the ball (distinct lack of panic in the middle third) and incisive line breaking passing from everyone on the field. I'm waiting to be shaken from the dream right now...

    Really like the work rate of the team, we were all over the place defensively vs Holland and were for most of the first half today but 2nd half was solid. Lulu being so lazy helped but always had good numbers back while still being dangerous in attack.
