I hope this is true: @ChelseatheLab: Can't help thinking Mendes has said take Falcao & I'll get you so & so.
rumor was he was dispatched to work on Griezmann but that option seems to be fading...or is that just what they want us to think...
I'm sure I'm just being a total homer but I like it at the right price. If the guy can find any kind of form he's a great 2nd option for us. Edit: the homer part being the assumption that he can find some form and he's not totally done.
Best place to follow transfer news/rumors on Twitter or otherwise? And general consensus on Pogba? He's certainly not a necessity but damnit I want my parents to buy me the cool new toy.
I don't think we end up getting Pogba but I'd love to be wrong. Don't get too into transfer rumors they're worse than recruiting.
I am still somewhat surprised we are going to let cech go to arsenal. I know his family is settled in London but with Manchester city only chasing English talent and Manchester United slow to act in the market, arsenal seem like our biggest competition to the title. If de gea leaves United, we are giving Arsenal the second best GK in the league
I'm sure you all value my opinion so highly on this matter but think something like Cech would be the 1 case where I'd be ok with an Arsenal player leaving for Chelsea or the Mancs. He's not doing it for money, not doing it for his greatest chance of trophies, he just wants to play and keep his family happy.
I mean it significantly strengthens arguably the best title challenger out there. From his point of view everyone should get it, he's still got a lot left in the tank and wants to be the #1. He was obviously great at Chelsea and wouldn't deserve booing when yall play at the Bridge.
Saw the headline "Chelsea make move for Real Madrid defender" was all Opened the article was all http://thestamfordshed.com/2015/06/20/chelsea-and-manchester-city-eye-real-madrids-pepe/
Sounds like Cech to Arse is finally happening . WAGNH summarizes my feelings: To be honest, this move doesn't feel great. Petr Cech is one of the four best goalkeepers currently in England, and neither of Arsenal's current duo is anything like competent. Yes, he's out of contract at the end of next season, but handing the Gunners a premier goalkeeper for £11 million seems like a suboptimal move, even if they didn't finish particularly close to us last season. Rumour has it that Cech knew where he wanted to go and Chelsea did him a favour by selling to a rival. If so, fair play to all involved. I don't want to say goodbye yet, but it sounds like it's coming very soon.
Watching a legend for your club strengthen your biggest challenger for defending your title is your world?
Arsenal, man united and city are really the only teams that stand a Chance other than us. City are only bringing in English players and United are losing their best player and have only bought a good young player so far Arsenal finished second, finished the season strong and are the only team in the top 4 to upgrade their starting XI so far this summer. Still a ways to go in the summer but right now, they seem like our biggest competition in my far from expert opinion
I agree just pointing out how dumb the logic is. He's right they are doing the most of the contenders but his other 2 points are that they finished 2nd (They didn't) and that they finished the season strong (3 of the last 4 league matches were 0-0 draw vs Sunderland, 1-1 draw at United and 1-0 loss vs Swansea)
Think the Cech move is good for Arsenal, but also think he gets exposed a bit there. He wont have a defender like Terry in front of him as well as how aggressive Arsene attacks leaving his defense vulnerable.
Wasn't making a point that they finished second was just stating it but I was wrong. Honesty didn't pay much attention the last 3 weeks. I do think that arsenal looked like a better team in the second half of the year and they are the only team to upgrade this summer. If city grab a player like pogba that can change. Same with United. Summer clearly isn't over I agree with Clemson that Cech will not have the defense he had at Chelsea but he is also going to a team who hasn't had a good goalie in a decade
Arsenal did look better the 2nd half. Not disputing that at all. They should've finished 2nd, after their run in March and April it looked like they would but they handed it to City in May. All pointless because you guys had things locked up. I'm definitely hoping to see City do something this summer other than drop 50 million on Sterling and Arsenal look to be bettering themselves but right now you guys still look the squad to beat
Apparently some Dutch media are reporting Newcastle is close to a deal for van Ginkel. Seen anything on your end?
