Loser was always the bottom that night in my dorm. I'm guessing you took the fun out of it and volunteered to be the bottom every time.
No my dorm room was set up where my bed was above my desk so there was no way you were getting 2 dudes up there to bang it out.
Tbqh, I think I enjoyed editing the roster and figuring out who played on the All Time teams more than playing the actual game
I remember in NCAA 2003 FSU had a backfield of Greg Jones, Lorenzo Booker, Thomas Clayton, and Eric Shelton (who wasn't removed from the roster after transferring to Louisville). Leon Washington was a stud CB, and Chris Davis and Dishon Platt were insane.
I-Form Trips had a play where the slot WR did a wheel route and if they were in man it was an easy TD from anywhere on the field.
I agree the game really changed in 07 when they put it on 360/ps3. I hadn't upgraded at that point so I had it on the original xbox and it played like the old games, but I would go play it at a friends house on 360 and the game sucked. Still pick up '14 occasionally against my friends that have it. Had an online dynasty that was about to go to it's 10th year with Tulane (me) and North Texas. I was going for my 7th championship in a row. But the game glitched out and wouldn't let us advance it any further. :(
Manually made UNC's roster on '13 a couple weeks back for a new dynasty, offense ended up having an A+ rating and the defense checked in at A-
NCAA 2008 was the low point of the franchise for me. It was just unplayable to me, I actually retrograded to the PS2 that year. Starting in 2009 it started getting better.
I also liked how NCAA would pull random teams out to challenge for the National Championship. I can't tell you how many times I played Iowa in the BCSNC, especially on '07.
There was a hail Mary glitch, the hail mary play where the one player would run a deep post. You could make the two wrs one the opposite side of the post, block, then roll out to that side with blocking wr and beat almost every zone and man defense and it prevented the cb blitz too. I used that play if the player on the other team cheesed. I hated people who ran two fucking plays. What is the fun in that. Yes, I had go to plays when i needed a yard or on a big 3Rd and 8 but who has fun doing the same thing over and over again besides dbl and his trolling of fsu fans.
There was a fucker who played me in NCAA 10 and recorded it. I didn't find out until someone sent me a random friends request. Asked how he found me and directed me to the video. He beat me 18-15, here's the video.
We had a dynasty one time with all my friends before the online dynasty. My house was 24/7 ncaa. I can remember skipping class and haVing 10 to 20 people over to play bowl games and stuff. I also got yelled at because I changed to names on all of my friends players to some form of female Anatomy. He lost his next game and said it was because his players played like their names I gave him and messed up his depth chart. Good fucking times
I am just generally bad at typing on my phone without proof reading. Plus I'm trying to type between customers. I just nostogliaed real hard and had to gety thoughts on the Internet canvas
I remember that guy from some old message board. If I remember correctly he was basically a hermit who only played that game.
I remember beating Pelican in NCAA 09. NCAA 04 was the best and NCAA 05 was the worst sports game of all time
In my current dynasty I am in year 3 with UCLA after coming from Arkansas State. I have a recruited QB named EJ DeLuca who is basically Andrew Luck and Cam Newton rolled into one super freak at 6'6, 237 lbs, 90+ speed, THP, and THA. I've played religiously since Bill Walsh CFB and he is the best QB I've ever played with. I feel bad running option plays though as he seldom goes down on the first hit.
I used to kill the juco recruiting. I remember winning 6 straight with Louisville and still having recruits tell me "Win a title at Louisville? Coach be serious"....
What's the longest dynasty you played (not counting simming)? In 13 I went 13 years with UMass, going from the MAC, to CUSA, to the Big East, and eventually the Big 10 with 8 National Championships (finished undefeated a few other times but didn't make it to the CG).
Probably my Louisville one. I went a solid 10-12 years in it. I typically would play 4-5 and be done. I did keep my dynasty when I coached Washington for 1-2 years and left for Texas and played like 7-8 years after. Those Texas teams were retarded too. So much speed and size. QB was a 6'6 250 with 96 speed and 99 throw power and 97 accuracy. It was stupid.
Just played '14 while visiting some family last week. Real fucking nostalgic, considering I don't own a console anymore. TMB's small school dynasty crew
I would play dynasty until the team was too good and I won every game. That got boring. I remember reading other people's dynasty's on Dynasty Central and this guy had the GOAT Arcadia Axemen dynasty.
I had a 30+ season dynasty going when my PS3 YLOD'd on me last winter. I'm not ready to talk about it yet.
My brother was in FAMU's virtual roster once, think it was NCAA 05 He was a 49 overall and we ragged on him so hard NCAA has more nostalgia in my family than anything bc of how often we'd play each other. We even had a GameCube version for road trips. We used to prank each other and make our favorite team's qbs shitty on purpose. And randoms would get heated if someone got stuck with a low tier team
This is completely true. To this day I have no idea how EA managed to ruin, and continue to ruin, the GOAT football videogame gameplay
