that was reportedly their response when EA brought it to them, but seeing how well its done, I wonder if they've changed their tune. Did MSFT get exclusivity?
Yeah my brother has 2 sons that are 9 and 5 is why I told him that. They wouldn't ask for all the games at release, maybe some but once they hit the vault I bet they'd play them all. He told me the older one though doesn't want next gen console and wants money for his bday and Christmas for a gaming PC
That was my thought as well From what I can find, when they announced it there was nothing mentioned that they had an exclusive deal
It seems like bullshit to me. First of all, why would you not let the market dictate whether or not it's a waste of money like literally everything else? Who made Sony the authority on what is good value for customers? Also, since when has Sony even given a fuck about that?
So all this EA access talk is making me rethink my decision....a couple big questions that may have already been addressed: 1. So you can play 10 hours of any EA game coming out without committing to a purchase? 2. I like having discs so I can resell sooner if the game blows. Do y'all buy the disc and then just sell it back as soon as its in the Vault? 3. Most importantly, all of my saves have to transfer correct? But do I need to re-install games when I sell the disc version? Anything else I am forgetting that is a nice feature? Might have to pull the trigger if everyone is continuing to rave about it.
1. When they announced it they said more than 2 hours on the trials. Also said it would vary by game but up til now I'd seen them all as 6 and PGA was 10. Starts 5 days before release. 2. Yes buy the disc then when it hits the vault trade/sell them 3. Because you installed when you had the trial you wouldn't need to reinstall. Your saves would transfer
the 6 hr limit was one of the things the consumers pushed EA to raise, from here on its 10. in regards to affecting a preorder/purchase, 4 hours wouldn't change my mind, and Dragon Age is easily a 100 hr game so no way would anyone be able to finish it in under 10 hrs.
Same. At what point to do I be able to just come and go as I please? Pick pocketed the captain in Havana, next step is sneaking into the fort. Not real interested in missions, just want to sail around, rape and pillage.
Soon, I just played that mission last night. Eventually you'll come to a point where missions are on different islands. Use that time to mess around and do as you please. Use some of the uPlay points to unlock stuff, too
The Witcher 3 is has got such a LOTR: ROTK ending situation....I feel like I've been doing "Final Preparations" or "Final Preparations for the final preparations" or "Running errands for the bitches before the final preparations" for like 6+ hours at this point. Not that I'm really complaining....
Really amazing game. Top 5 game of the year if not #1 right now. If you like RPGs, this is the cream of the crop.
Just finished the game at level 33....which I believe is a lot higher than most. Basically Do side mission the same if not more than the main story line
Anyone got the Hauppauge Digital Tuner for the xboxone. I'm cutting the cord and this allows your leaf or other antenna to come through xbox. It comes with its own antenna so maybe I won't need to buy one.
You tell us FIFA is the best game there is on any platform... Not sure that there is a "must buy" on either console beyond that at our age.
No thanks on fifa I'll be getting Madden and I probably really only need one other game. Not sure which one to get though P excited for the next ghost recon
Best Values (mainly RPGs) GTA V The Witcher 3 EA Access Dragon Age: Inquisition (especially with EA Access it will be "free" soon) Maybe Batman Sports: FIFA Shooter: Destiny Battlefield 4 (through EA access) Battlefield Hardline
Get EA Access and download FIFA 15, then decide. Soccer fan or not the game length, pace of play, play modes, etc. make it easy to get into and very fun to play. FIFA is the only sports game I buy each year for those reasons and more.
Fair enough. I'd get EA Access and check out the trial of Madden before deciding for sure. It's at best the 4th best sports game each year typically (FIFA, NBA2K, MLB The Show).
I always enjoy Madden and nhl the most now that ncaa is gone. I've had some fun years with NBA 2k as well
Forza 5 is great, should be able to get it cheap now with Forza 6 right around the corner. Forza Horizon 2, same thing. Forza 5 is more of a simulator (as 1-4 have been) and Forza Horizon 2 is a bit more arcade with a racing festival taking place and a bit of an open world. If you want to hold out for Forza 6 it should be the best game of the series. Weather effects (they actually went out to the race tracks featured in the game and mapped out how water pools on each track and as a result there will be hydroplaning), nighttime racing, over 450 cars, 1080p/60fps, etc., etc. Comes out in September.
Madden has been very enjoyable for me. We have a solid league here on TMB. You should join us for the 2016 game. NBA2k is a must buy for basketball fans. Destiny is my favorite next-gen game thus far. It seems to be hit or miss with people, but it has a ton of replay value. I have over 500 hours put into it. Battlefield is always fun, but I didn't like Hardline. I strongly recommend BF4 though (just get EA access and try it out). GTA is a must buy if you've not played it before.
If you want to do a league for vault players like me I'll join on madden 15 I'll be an easy W for just about anyone on here
Think I've decided to just get this . The Xbox One Madden NFL 16 bundle includes 1TB of storage, a full download of Madden NFL 16 and a year's subscription toEA Access. That subscription not only grants access to The Vault, EA's collection of downloadable titles, users will also be able to play Madden 16 on August 20th, a full five days before the game officially launches. The bundle will go on sale August 18th for $400. You can also pre-order it from Amazon.
