Kit Harington Might’ve Arrived In Belfast To Possibly Join 'GoT' Cast For Season 6 Jon Snow has been spotted! Erin WhitneyEntertainment Writer, The Huffington Post Posted: 07/21/2015 Regardless of whether or not you're a believer on team Jon Snow Lives, the actor has officially been spotted in Belfast, Northern Ireland -- and there is finally real, solid, visual evidence ... we think. According to "Game of Thrones" fan site Watchers on the Wall, a fan reported she was on thesame plane headed to Belfast as Harington earlier this week and she has the photos to prove it. (Head to WotW to check out two photos of Harington exiting the plane at what appears to be the Belfast airport.) What does this mean, though? Belfast is home to the "Game of Thrones" production offices, and a handful of the cast arrived there recently for the Season 6 table read. Everyone from Emilia Clarke to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been spotted arriving for the script read-through. Previously, there were murmurs on Reddit that Harington was seen in Belfast by fans and reportedly told one admirer that he could not take any photos (Hmm). Now that we have proof the actor was in Belfast, it can only mean a handful of things. For one, Harington might be in Northern Ireland to film Jon Snow's funeral scenes, if Season 6 decides to show those. This happened with Charles Dance, who returned for Tywin Lannister's funeral scene in Season 5. What the rest of us are hoping is that Harington's appearance means the actual return of Jon Snow, whether he's resurrected, reborn, becomes a White Walker, or one of the other many fan theories proves true. Or it could just mean Harington was visiting Belfast unrelated to the "Thrones" production (but we refuse to believe that). Harington and the "GoT" showrunners have all confirmed Jon's death on the show, as well as director David Nutter, who even confirmed the character's demise to President Barack Obama. But, like Clarke, we still believe. The actress told MTV News recently that she thinks there's a "50/50 chance" Jon will return. Plus, one new Season 6 filming location might signal a storyline related to Bran, which could reveal Jon's true parentage. All men must have hope.
The actors are there for a read-through of the scripts. The article mentions the idea of him being the for a funeral scene, but that makes no sense. Why would he need to in Belfast for line readings if he's only playing a corpse?
Plus I would imagine if he was only there for the funeral they would've shot that last season for the convenience factor, instead of bringing him all the way back out there.
Fat ass is trolling too much this week on his blog. Starting to Feel like winds in q1 is a thing. I've had my hopes up too many times in the past, but I'm biting again. Fuck.
I've been believing this for years. just no way he's going to let them spoil both books. also I honestly can't believe there are readers questioning Jon Snow's future.
Considering the apparent almost factual likelihood of a Tower of Joy flashback happening in the next season of GoT, it seems as though GRRM is finally motivated to get off his fat ass and do some writing. He probably wants WoW to be released before the next season so R+L=J can be confirmed in the books before the show.
How does a Tower of Joy flashback in the show spoil anything for Martin? The Tower of Joy scene was written like 20 years ago. The likelihood of him finishing Winds of Winter before the next season is very low. I think Martin is willing to tell the story his way in whatever time it takes for him to do so, or never at all if he is to die. He's happy with the money and fame he has achieved... If the show tells the story before he is done, then he will just follow it up with his own telling of the story in the way that only he can do. Basically, don't get your hopes up.
I think many people (myself included) believe a Tower of Joy flashback will confirm R+L=J. I think GRRM may want that reveal to happen in the books before on television, so he has actual motivation to get WoW out before next season airs. However, despite the fact I have been reading this series since I was in high school, I very well could be fooling myself and acting a child of summer by having any faith it will be released before next April.
No question in my mind that tower of joy flash back means r+l=j reveal. So what you're saying makes a lot of sense... However I'm :skepticalhippo:
Not that I'd complain, but... March 2016: "TWOW is out! Yes! Now the show won't spoil the books!!!" April 2016: "This is so great!" June 2016: "Alright, well they've burned through that whole book now. Hope GRRM can get A Dream of Spring out soon, otherwise it'll get spoiled in Season 7!" GRRM: "FUCK!"
March 2016: "TWOW is almost out! Yes! Now the show won't spoil the books!!!" April 2016: "This is so great! I can't wait for TWOW! Any day now." June 2016: "Alright, well they've burned through that whole book now. I'd still really like to read it!" August 2016: "Any day now..." December 2016: "Maybe they're doing a Christmas release for TWOW! That would be so cool!!" January 2018:
GRRM at any point can either confirm the R+L=J theory in an interview, release it as a short novel or put out another spoiler chapter if he really wanted to....he can mess with the timeline or info however he wants, we are all just whores to his whims
I think it will be out before the next season. He's likely much further along than he's been letting on.
Will be at least eight seasons: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/07/3...s?hootPostID=92c9e903108ea893a3010b56adbabf52
that's an extra season that wasn't supposed to happen iirc, DB & Weiss have always said they wanted to end it in 7. Good thing they're not in charge b/c I don't think you could wrap this up in 20 hours.
I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see next season end with the R+L=J reveal and the season immediately after is a prequel leading up to Jon's birth.
just for reference, the guy from HBO is quoted as saying 8, not "at least 8", that's EW being terrible. this allows 30 hours for the last 2 books which is probably fair given what they've been doing. there's simply no way to do this ending justice by doing it in 20 hours. I figured the HBO heads would want another season of ratings and if anyone can change B&W's mind it's going to be the guys writing the checks.
worked for Spartacus on Starz when they tried to buy time when their lead got cancer (well worked for the show, unfortunately the actor died of cancer, new guy was decent though)
The prequel for Spartacus was my favorite season. I think it would work perfectly for this show. Got 8 seasons now so who knows what they they are gonna do.
I'd guess they know a lot more about TWOW than ADOS simply because one is almost done(shutup) and the other essentially only exists in Martin's head. it wouldn't shock me if he's let them read a rough manuscript of what he has done thus far. the question is do they use that to flesh out season 6 and maybe 7 and then essentially finish the show in 8 with only the basic ideas given by Martin(who lives, who dies, etc) or do they put TWOW into season 6 and then just go apeshit in the last 20 hours to finish the series, yielding potentially almost an entirely different product from what we'll read in ADOS.
Holy shit, Ian McShane has been cast for season 6. So awesome: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/08/01/game-thrones-ian-mcshane "We can tell you, however, that sources say McShane has a relatively small amount of screen-time during the season, yet his character is of key importance." Howland Reed.
Winter is Coming is speculating Randyll Tarley. I know it's not really a fit but I can't help but hope he plays Euron
i thought euron too this made me laugh though Bobby Big Wheel @BobbyBigWheel 12m12 minutes ago He could also play Randyll Tarly and just do the exact same character that he did in Hot Rod
With all the Tower of Joy filming location and Arthur Dayne casting rumors, I'm really starting to believe next season ends with "Promise me, Ned," fade to credits.
