Well it's a good thing we have a good backup then considering Jameis will likely get killed behind our OL
He will. I'd take him over a lot of people teams are counting on right now. Buffalo, NYJ, philly, Cleveland, Houston, he'll he's probably better than bortles, I don't trust kaep. He could start a lot of places given the right chance. I don't think he's the best option in Tampa, I just think he's good enough to play
ok that's way more fair than I thought you were saying. I usually think there are about 15-20 people good enough to play QB in the NFL who are alive, so the idea a bunch of teams have shitty guys and he might be able to be NFL average is palatable to me for sure.
And Glennon has done what exactly? Not saying I don't like the guy but I think you're reaching Glennon has had better talent around him offensively, which says a lot
I mean you're looking at a QB rating of 84 and a 29/15 td/int ratio in 18 games. That's pretty fucking solid
I've watched glennon plenty, he's a backup quarterback and nothing more. We know what glennon will give you, bortles still has plenty of room to grow and has looked markedly better so far in the preseason.
Glennon shows flashes that he can not only be good but really good, he just needs to put it together. He is a ginger brad Johnson type
Bortles played with all rookie wr's last year, minus the always injured Cecil shorts, Toby gerhart as a starting RB and three rookies on the OL last year. The OL gave up 19 more sacks than tampa's and glennon was already in the pros a year before starting. Bortles wasn't good last year, but their situations aren't analogous either.
And he has still put up significantly better numbers. To act like it's obviously a bad idea to take Glennon over bortles, I'm just not sure where you'd get that information. Everything that's happened to point in the NFL is contradictory
For this being the Bucs thread you would think people would know as a rookie Glennon went, 84 Passer rating, 60% completion and 19/9 on an awful team over 13 games
84 Passer rating, 10/6 td/int on a team that can't block and can't run. That's not bad for a 5 game run
we actually watched the games instead of looking at stat lines. glennon is nothing more than a good backup/starter on a bad team.
I watch the games too. He's good enough to play on a team that is worth a shit. The last couple of years that team is eating anyone alive, and his numbers are semi remarkable all things considered
Do you want your backup to not be good? I'm really confused. What problem is there with what I'm saying?
you said that glennon was "good" glennon's ceiling is a below average starter which is not "good" I don't even know what you're arguing ITT anymore. glennon is a good backup QB and everyone ITT has said so. what point are you even trying to make?
You just quoted me. I said he'd be good. What are you confused about. Do you think every good qb makes it to the super bowl? Please don't tell me you think jameis is taking the Bucs to the super bowl
I just can't believe he wants to argue about me saying he'd start for a bunch of other teams like that's a bad thing Are you autistic?
1) glennon is a good backup QB, and I'm glad he's on the roster because he's cheap and if jameis goes down, maybe he can win us a game 2) glennon could probably start for a couple bad teams and those teams would remain bad. but see, we hope to someday NOT be a bad team, so we don't want glennon to start for us 3) no I don't think Jameis is taking us to a super bowl this year or in the next couple years if you disagree with any of those points, then agree to disagree. thanks for sharing your great insights user arkadin
Id like you to find where you think I disagreed with these points, then point out why you wanted to argue
is this post serious? I never even addressed you until you quoted me. we apparently agree with each other so I'm done with this
Actually you quoted me and tried to imply Glennons career numbers to date were credit to a duo he'd play 5/18 games with... So yeah cool I guess
went to the preseason game vs the steelers. jags looked good but those video boards were the real MVP
How is having an opinion differing from yours on football being a faggot? Can you go be a faggot somewhere else if you don't want to engage in football discussion, faggot?
It has nothing to do with discussion, it has everything to do with you pulling the same shit that you pull in every other thread- you get into futile arguments and have some weird ass superiority complex
Im literally discussing football players. You're not even engaging in any discussion besides 'you're a faggot' and similar shit. What is wrong with you?
