Preordered Fifa 16 today. Am I right in getting this, or is PES the way to go now? Haven't picked up a soccer game in quite a while.
FIFA is great. PES may have some more technical ability to it but you just cant match the licensing of FIFA including the EPL broadcast-level package. And even if PES has that technical edge...its not like FIFA is a slouch and just bells and whistles. It also plays very well.
Should I preorder games for digital download or buy from store still the most reliable way to get it the day of release?
So if you preorder say Fifa...you get the copy from Amazon the day its released? If so I may go that route as the one game I downloaded so far took about 5000 hours
yes. depending on your UPS guy you may get it end of the day so if you're a 'first thing in the morning' person youd be stuck waiting. But yes, it delivers on launch day.
Online PVP has microtransactions. You can build floating bases outside of your home base with your clan, but in order to expand your base you have to buy more space in the sea which uses an in game currency that you can buy with real money.

Wait a week until people take off the rose colored glasses and you start hearing about the negatives.
My problem with madden last year was that every game i played no matter the team felt exactly the same. gets boring fast.
All I've ever wanted in madden was a single digit scoring game. Instead I don't think I've ever scored less than 3 touchdowns in a game even at the hardest difficulty
meh im ok with less simulation. bells and whistles and fun are all good to me. its like SNES-level-fun when theres a bunch of scoring or quick turnovers. but a 'defensive battle' with lots of punts and no points ---- i get enough of that with the dolphins IRL
I almost bought it last night but I saw something in the trailer that used to piss me off every year in NCAA. No QB throws with that goofy ass leg kick, EA! Fuck!
What are your all's Playstation Names? Just recently picked up the PS4, so coming from the 360, I'm trying to get adjusted. Mine is just kentucky_dawg
Just sent you a request. I never play online so this is yet another e-friendship that will benefit you in no way. You're welcome.
i encourage everyone to download the NBA LIVE Companion App for their phones. You can make a quick 3D model of your face and it works surprisingly well. I expect EA to roll it out to their other sports games but for now it is just in the NBA app. I am not getting the game but the app is cool.
My younger brother does own a 360 and my mom is looking at PS4/XB1 to get him a next gen system but to my knowledge she does not play the game
How old is said son? I would get a 3DS depending on age so you can get access to whole new library of great games.
My controller stopped charging when plugged into the wall, but when i plug it into the ps4 usb port it works fine. Any have this problem?
I've always charged by plugging into the ps4. It is designed to charge the controller efficiently and effectively while keeping the battery life prolonged. If you keep your ps4 in standby mode it will charge the controller then stop, whereas a wall charger will continue charging indefinitely which decreases battery life.
Thx. I keep my ps4 hidden behind my wall mounted tv so i never use the ps4 for charging. I just plug the usb cord into an iPad charger. Guess i should stop doing that.
Yeah the iPad charger is likely way stronger than what the ps4 is doing. Using an iPhone charger might not be as bad.
5v 750mA is the output of the PS4 A typical iPhone brick is 1 amp, iPad being 2 amp. Sending 2 amps to charge the DS4 battery is completely fine. It may decrease overall battery life but the decreased lifespan should be negligible. If you are worried about battery life, any 1 amp wall brick is just fine. That being said, don't use anything below 750mA.
