LET THE FUN BEGIN! atletico madrid has signed augusto fernandez from Celtic Vigo. ...no, I know nothing about him.
Barcelona signed Robert, a 19 year old forward/midfielder from Fluminese on loan with the option to buy. he's training with the B team first. there's also rumors of Barcelona wanting to sign a forward on loan. nolito/ denis suarez/ and soriano from salzburg are said to be options.
Oh yeah, forgot the best team in the world has 2 new signings in Vidal and Turan. We got that Elnenny though.
Curious to see how much play he's going to get heading forward. Seems like we can afford to skip out on signing a depth forward with him trying to fight for time with Iniesta and Rakitic
Leicester triggered the release clause of Birmingham City starlet Demarai Gray. I'd seen us linked with him in the past along with a bunch of other top clubs. Could be a good one in the future, a pretty shrewd move for under 4m pounds. Hopefully this will stall any chance Birmingham had of getting into the playoff spots as well, so long as there isn't a loan back involved. http://www.espnfc.us/story/2778133/leicester-agree-deal-to-sign-birmingham-winger-demarai-gray
Ligue 1 transfers rumors to watch: * Michi Batshuayi (ST) Marseille - been linked with Arsenal in the past, and more recently with Spurs. Latest I read is that he might not move until this summer. * Raphael Guerrero (LB) Lorient - Lots of folks saying Klopp wants him at Liverpool. * Steve Mandanda (GK) Marseille - read something today that links him to Liverpool. * Lusas (LW) - PSG - ManU. * Henri Saivet (ST / Mid) Bordeaux - linked with Newcastle. * Cheikh N'Doye (Mid) Angers - Chelsea and Man City have been sniffing around for a month now. * Lamina Kone (CB) Lorient Sunderland. I think this deal is confirmed pending a physical. * Alejandro Bedoya (Mid) Nantes - Philadelphia Union. Its been rumored for a while now. Not sure if its happening during this window or in the summer. * Marquinhos (Def) PSG - ManU.
I would love for Michy to end up at Arsenal. Can't see him leaving Marseille in January though or the ultras might murder the director.
Pretty sure Michy himself has said he doesn't want to go anywhere mid season, and would prefer to wait until summer to move to Tottenham.
Demarai Gray joins LCFC from Birmingham City. 19 year old defender that plays for England's under-20's. $3.75m or so was the reported fee.
The Boogie reported this Saturday. On a side note, didn't Liverpool already agree to terms with someone in mid-late December? Was that ever announced or did it get shit canned?
Apologies to Boogie. Completely missed it up top. There were a couple of names being reported heading to Liverpool. One was a GK I've never heard of. BR is reporting Marko Grujic will join LFC this summer from RS Belgrade.
Latest estimated transfer values, based on a very complex algorithm. Hazard too high, Kane too low. http://www.insideworldfootball.com/...ard-is-at-3-with-kane-and-sterling-at-5-and-6
More than everyone at Real Madrid not named Cristiano, Aubameyang and Rues, above everyone at Bayern and PSG, Ozil, etc?
Agree to disagree. I think he is the most overrated player in the world. He is a playmaker that doesn't score or create that many goals and I dont think he has ever shown the ability to dominate games on a regular basis.
tbh, i'm not going to dig my heels on this considering i don't watch the PL as much as other people on this board. i'm sure you've seen him play more than i have.
Sterling is the most ridiculous here IMO. I always liked/rated the dude but this is a solid 30 million (Eurotrash) more than what City paid. Not to mention everyone was up in arms that he wasn't worth 40-50 million (Euros) to begin with. Then he grows some fucking Quentin Tarantino porkchops and we let this shit slide? I don't get it at all. Make's the list a complete joke IMO. Where's Lukaku if age is a factor?
Meanwhile in Togo.... Surprised no struggling side has taken a punt on him, to be honest. He looks to be in top form.
Looks like Big Sam has broken out his ole "tallest players in the world" rolodex again. I can't recall ever actually watching him play but he seems like the prototypical villain for a kids sports movie. Big and scary.
apparently Newcastle lodged a bid for Lacazette. Probably just doing it so they can claim they tried to sign a striker, because he's way out of our league
His stocks a lot lower than it was this time a year ago so I guess it's within the realm of possibility. For whatever reason, he just seems like a player that will definitely play for Arsenal some day to me. I thought that about Schniederlin too so he probably won't.
You've got to convince him it's an investment. Someone should tell him Benzema will be banned from the Euros so he'll be able to sell him for a quick profit after he gets to play for France. France's depth at striker is pretty ridiculous at the moment.
