Tbh, the longer it goes, the better it is for the Dems. I can't see any major legislation going through, healthcare included. Every day this paralyzes the government, the closer we get to the mid terms. We'll see what happens there, but it would certainly be a positive environment for Dems to campaign in.
Thats was logic suggests The fact that the GOP reaction is to look for any reason whatsoever that the story is false, for a 2nd consecutive night, tells you how many grains of salt you should take with these responses.
Less reported these past few days was the revelation from Trump that he was getting updates from Grassley on the investigation.
Yates is showing a level of restraint and professionalism that is such an incredible contrast to Trump and his band of idiots.
I don't flat out hate Kasich, but I don't want to see the GOP win anything until there's been a good toilet flushing. Actually, fuck it. I don't want to see them win anything ever.
My God I just switched it over to Fox News. Guy says "This is a boring scandal. If I went out to the street and asked 10 people who Comey was only 3 people would know."
Seems like some Rs are going to quickly be shifting into self preservation mode, I'm surprised it wasn't sooner - I mean anyone who paid attention and was halfway intelligent knew how this was going to (and is going to) end.
I look at it as more that he was going to continue the investigation and he kept this in his back pocket for a rainy day. There was no reason to make it public because at the time it had "no effect" , now it's potentially part of a pattern
Because 5 watch Fox News, and 2 are schizo homeless vets who are badly in need of some mental health care.
I'm sitting here watching this interview of hers, along with her testimony last week. Regardless of politics, if she ever ran for public office, I would vote for her. She's more presidential than Hillary, more likeable.
Do we... Do we tag BetterCallSaul and keep rubbing his nose in the complete lack of respect for information security that Trump and everyone associated with him has?
In a time where great journalism is rising to the top....this clown is really exposing how pathetic be is:
This is the house. I'm concerned about the location of the bunker. You are going to eventually blade one and take out one of your windows. The bunker should be between the house and the green. Would not buy.
I think that's part of the reason why they haven't jumped ship yet. This stuff has happened in such a rapid-fire manner that they haven't had a chance to process it correctly (not that many would anyway). Nixon was in term 2 when his shit was going down, so any honeymoon was long since over and years of information and feelings on him were considered. These people blindly placed their faith in this guy during the election to be an arbiter of change (or oppressor of people with pigment in their skin) and it's devolved into chaos even before it started. They don't want to admit they've been duped or that they're dumbfucks for supporting him in the first place, so they continue to support in a feeble attempt to prove to themselves that they don't drink their own urine. The only negative of this happening so quickly (if he's deposed quickly that is), is that it happened so quickly and clumsily that many of the voters that enabled this won't learn their lesson. But that's a small price to pay.
god damn this thread is a fucking full time job I even missed the opportunity to make fun of Louise Mensch for saying the US Marshals would execute an arrest warrant on an FBI investigation for non-fugitives :(
every day I'm caught slack-jawed and bewildered at how Trump and everyone around him do their jobs. it is absolutely goddamn astounding what they're doing, it's literally what you'd expect if you grabbed Joe Schmoe and made him the head honcho and then he hired all his friends from the bar to help. he wouldn't have a clue what he was doing and everyone would just step over or ignore policy and laws regarding virtually anything. he's running the country like it's a goddamn Domino's or something.
This thing as it lay will drag out for another 3 months with hearings. By that time trump will be even more toxic as well as his administration. Even if pence is the next potus, how deep does this rabbit hole go? Something that will be on voters minds come 2018
Fox News said that because Comey (as acting AG at the time) threatened resignation then....and (under their own assertion) did not threaten resignation with Trump's obstruction, that therefore doubt should be cast on the veracity of all allegations. Fox is doing countless damage to our republic.
