Reminds me of the time Meatball caught a Snorlax on Day 3 of him playing. Took me months to find and catch one
Gyms got to get a shake up. Wish we could friendly battle as well like the card game where I pick some and an opponent picks some and we don't know what types he other picked and play.
I guess I started during the end of the Rock type event, the Kabutos, Geodudes etc that spawned near me have turned back into useless shits like Sentrets, Spinaraks and Rattatas. How often are these events where non shit pokemon spawns?
every 6ish weeks or so. we had Halloween then Xmas/New Year's (2 weeks) then V-day then Water then Grass (weekend) then Rock. next event probably lines up with early July and since they don't do specific events it won't be 4th of July but maybe Fire type for the summer.
So in the mean time I should mostly just hatch eggs and spin pokestops for free shit to prep for the next event?
Fire would be nice because that's far and away the rarest "common" type for me. Took forever to get a Charizard, have yet to even see the 2nd gen fire starter mon. Having to walk my Ponyta to a Rapidash right now because they simply don't show up. Got lucky and caught an Arcanine because lord knows I haven't seen enough Growlithes to evolve one.
Charmander was my starter Pokémon, I haven't caught/seen one since. Been hatching them slowly but surely...still 60 some candies away from Charizard
I live in Jax which is all water. I need an electric event as the gyms are swimming with vapes and gyrdos.
Electric event would be awful. I've seen the electric biome before, it seems really cool if you don't have one and instant AIDS if you do because all it contains are Magnemites and Voltorbs. It took me months to hatch my way to those evos but for someone with a biome it takes hours at most. It's pretty easy to get Raichu and Electabuzz these days since you can hatch their babies. Chinchou and Lanturn are also Electric but most people shouldn't struggle to find them (I have them all over and my city has nothing even resembling an Electric biome). The only real benefit would be to make an Ampharos but Mareeps are already Larvitar-rare so I'm not sure you'd really see that many more. It'd just be neverending amounts of Voltorb, Magneton, and Chinchou with some scattered Pikachu and a few Mareeps here and there. I wouldn't want a week of a the most useless type out there. Maybe a weekend or something but you'd get sick of it real quick.
Do you guys use any IV checking programs to evaluate the stuff you catch or just rely on the "appraisal" function and CP?
Those aren't gonna get me banned or restricted from seeing rarer pokemon are they? (read somewhere about 3rd party programs being restricted from seeing rares)
Currently lvl 17 right now, the exp gain seems to have really slowed down w/o the 500 bonus XP for catching new pokmeon. Roughly how long did it take for you guys to get to lvl 30+? (that's the level I read of wild pokemon's CP being more or less maxed out in encounters)
I hit level 25 months ago. Currently at level 27. Leveling up takes forever unless you spend the money for lucky eggs and incubators
I've been playing since NYE and I'm about 200,000 away from Level 30. Some days I'm more active than others, some days I just log on to keep my streaks going. The Grass Event that gave double XP combined with Lucky Eggs powered me through a level and a half which was nice.
Getting sick and tired of eggs at this point. Simply not getting anything worth a fuck in anything. 10k are practically the most useless of them all at this point
I log on collect my gyms coins and get my poke stop everyday. Some days I play more than others. Nice that they are banning he cheaters now.
the initial release was amazing. there were people playing everywhere. parks that would never have more than 5 or 10 people at a time suddenly had 40 or 50 people there while bigger/more popular parks had hundreds. never seen anything like it in my life. it was awesome.
We were on a bachelor party in Charleston and to break the hangovers we would walk around the city and parks every morning catching pokemon and talking to other people who were obviously playing. It was great.
Once their evolved form gets released, Weavile if they're anything like the real game, should be a fantastic attacker.
Going back to sneasle talk, because I have to put in my two cents... park at end of street is sneasle nest this week. Never seen sneasle before this week and only hatched one 3 weeks ago. So gonna stock up for weavle or whatever his evo is called.
Never hatched one but the park I frequent nested them about a month ago. Got about 125-130 Sneasel candy before I got tired of catching them. They were a lot like Murkrow in the sense it always took multiple balls to catch them
