I have interacted with him a bit because his little brother is Tony (2013 SEC Player of the Year). In my limited time around him he seemed like a really nice guy. The Kemp family is very tight. He was one of the best players in the nation in 2008 (at ECU). Never really understood why he didn't last longer in the pros as his plate approach was really good and he hit a fair amount of extra-base hits, especially for a guy who played some catcher
Just got in to town. My plan for the night is to get dinner at Hattie B's by Vandy and then wander around the bars nearby. Is this a terrible idea?
If I want to grab brunch somewhere on Sunday any recommendations? Don't really care where it's at or wait all that much because I've got no plans until night
Brunch is a big deal here so all the good places will be busy or packed. Really like the Bluegrass Brunch at Sutler. Also thoroughly enjoy Germantown Cafe. Tavern is top tier.
Go eat Garden Brunch Cafe on Jefferson St if you're not worried about restaurant appearances and want a solid breakfast.
Appreciate the recommendations. Monell's might be the winner. Either that, Sutler or Garden Brunch Cafe
Butchertown Hall tonight, Beer fest tomorrow. Should be a nice little weekend with the weather chilling the fuck out.
Today I was talking with a guy who has been coaching hockey for over 40 years. He was at game four of the series vs Chicago and said it was the best atmosphere he has ever seen

Ate at Fort Louise tonight. Holy Jesus at the fort burger... that thing is one of best food items in all of nashville. Don't believe me? Try it.
Good lord Monell's was fantastic. My only regret was that as amazing as the breakfast and fried chicken were I saw that the lunch menu had ribs and roast beef
So my dumbass didn't check ahead of time to see what the hours were for Hattie B's with today being Sunday. Tried to go at 5, oops. Also found out that Prince's is closed Sundays. Currently waiting for my food at Boltons which seemed to be the favorite here so I'm excited. The only drinks they had were 2 diet cokes so I got those and then went to the coffee house next door to get a couple waters. The guy told me to take some sugar packets "to help ease the pain". RIP my stomach but I'm excited
I went with mild. Was planning Hattie B's just because my stomach normally doesn't respond well to Medium level or hotter wings and got the lowest heat level at the local hot chicken place in Columbus. Still feel it on my lips, definitely a good bit hotter than the local place (they learned from Prince's) but not so much that I couldn't enjoy it. Wife went Medium and her eyes were still tearing up 10-15 minutes after we were done.
bolton's mild is more than your regular mild. They pride themselves on being the hottest. Dry rub isn't as good as wet rub, IMO, but still really good.
I had considered the light mild but figured what the hell. I was fine about 20 minutes later though and haven't had any issues. Was a little concerned about going to a concert tonight and if I'd be in the bathroom the whole time but it was fine. The initial heat on my mouth and lips was worse but my stomach handles it better
