Yeah, Detroit hasn't made a move like this under Holmes in three years, and I'm not sure it has the owner who is going to want to give out that kind of up front money to anyone in an offseson where they're already probably going to be trying to lock up St. Brown, Sewell, Goff and maybe Alim McNeil. That's a lot of signing bonus $$ just on in house guys for an owner (and family) that's never done that kind of thing before.
free agent RB signings just don't really move the needle for me. when was the last time a top RB free agent signing had a significant impact on a team getting to or winning the SB?
I think we all should admire the efficiency of these front offices and agents to get these complicated deals done within minutes of being legally allowed to do so.
I'm guessing it would be tough to find examples to this at most positions considering you're limiting it to two teams a year.
I don't really get what you're going for here. No one is making a big deal out of it. It's just a tweet about NFL news that seems worthy of being posted
I didn't call anyone out. I posted my own thought. Didn't police the poster of the tweet. simmer down
Where is Gabe Davis going? One of my favorite players on those good UCF teams and it will be nice to not have to root against him in Buffalo.
And free agency. And having to be at a level of player that would be near the top of the market at their position.
I expect Vikings to lose Hunter and Cousins. The Vikings currently would then have one Edge on the roster lmbo. I'm really hoping for Van Ginkel and Epenessa Wilkins is the wet dream signee, but I'm not sure Flores is that cool of a guy for someone to take less to play for him
Jerrick McKinnon is an RB who was a FA signing that scored ten touchdowns for a Super Bowl winning team and ran for the game winning first down in said Super Bowl
oh I missed that it’s a “top” RB signing. so yeah this is an impossible standard to meet because the RBs in the last like 15 super bowls are all nobodies
No idea how we'd afford Wilkins but he'd bring our Clemson nonconsensual butthole toucher count to 2 for those keeping track.
I know they're doing it in exchange for access and information, but reporters adding hyperbolic adjectives to players as they sign really grinds my gears.
it’s not, but it does mean the Lions now have a pretty sizable cap percentage allocated to the RB position. but they also run a pretty unique offense and it seems to work for them
I've been looking up some names I don't know much about out of curiosity and Memphis seems to be producing a lot of quality NFL players
