I've told my wife multiple times I would like to look into retiring abroad. I'd have to convince her to travel abroad first though :/
Yesterday I saw a month old video of a little old lady in the senate corridor asking Marco Rubio about Palestinian genocide. He went off on Hamas animals causing them to die. It would be AOK if someone stuck a fucking microphone in his face to ask how he feels about this targeting of people handing out food?
Unfortunately, that could very well be the result of the current disregard of reality. Instead of relying on illogical people making a logical, deductive decision, maybe the administration could and should do the right thing here.
There's been so much happening, but this is really grim with how they're still deferring to Israel in these daily conferences. The IDF trying to cover up the completely targeted Abu Akleh was really fucking awful and I thought that would lead to some backlash. Right now the whole world is watching this and seeing Israel do whatever they want without any consequences.
I completely agree. They're fucking this up profoundly. I don't want my tone deafness here to suggest otherwise, that's my bad. This can just suck ass for now. The rest can wait. Apologies to the folks I pissed off tonight, I'm in the wrong here
Obviously this whole genicidal campaign by Israel has been horrific and evil. But man I hope this intentional targeting of WCK and other aid workers becomes their Tet Offensive moment.
oh cool a new and unique argument just fucking vote for trump and spare us the next 10 pages of the same bullshit
Nobody is fucking voting for trump. I live in Ga and am going to pull a lever for Biden but I am going to dog cuss Warnock and Ossoffs people in the meantime.
Weekly reminder to yell at your uncles not those that are impacted by the ongoing genocide. Also looks like protest voting is increasing
Symbolic, but also annoying because it shows that some challenger with a recognizable name who is not helping to engineer genocide could have jumped in and primaried this prick
My guess is even if Biden wants to do anything he’s not going to do anything that would deviate from the status quo until after the election Once he wins the threat of Trump becomes more distant and we can better address issues may not happen but it seems likely to me
I’d be willing to bet the other “challengers with a recognizable name” you alluded to earlier have all received a lot of their money.
wow $11 million over the last 35 years? That’s almost half as much as he cleared in one event last Thursday.
Maybe I am looking at things glass half-full when it doesn't deserve it, but I am hoping that if JB is re-elected, he will move even more progressive since he has no concern with reelection again. I am viewing it like this-
Seems like a nightmare scenario. If only there was an elected official that could do something about this that we could hold accountable instead of random posters that have no power maybe something like a president?
I put this in the ME thread, but x2 posting it here bc everyone should read this: https://www.972mag.com/lavender-ai-israeli-army-gaza/
"THEY WERE HIDING IMMEDIATELY UNDER THE KIDS WE KILLED YOU JUST CANNOT SEE THEM, THEY ARE RIGHT OFF CAMERA WE PROMISE"
It sucks so bad that the principle reason I'm gonna vote for Biden is that, hopefully, similar atrocities happen to fewer other groups of people under him than they would under Trump. Fucking garbage. Democrats gotta get their shit together in open primaries. I really hope energetic Biden protestors turn out in force in winter/spring of 2028. We've been so close to having something so much better than this.
300K a year is a lot of fucking money tho I wanna know how much folks on here make that are claiming that's not a grip of cash?
