did she learn that by going to Kansas City where you can try great sauces of all those varieties at over 100 restaurants
Am I missing something or hasn't KC had a long run of busts (or underwhelming results at best) on players like this?
Seems to be about 50/50. Worthy is the only first round WR. But he hit on Rice in the second. Missed on (early still, but a miss for now) Skyy Moore in the second. Mecole Hardman has done enough for them to be worth his pick in the second. Reid’s had a few guys like Chris Conley and DeMarcus Robinson in later rounds that are misses. But the success of Tyreek Hill cancels those out without a doubt. KC fans might have different opinions or remember other guys. But it doesn’t really seem like underwhelming track record. And regardless of Moore, having Mahomes at QB when you draft a WR definitely has to increase the odds for success.
I don't think they've busted anymore than the average. Bust rate on WR's is actually really high. One has been a total bust: Skyy Moore One was meh but wouldn't call a bust: Mecole Hardman One was a hit but would be nice if they didn't race: Rashee Rice Do note that they were all late 2nd rounders.
I don't know what Worthy is going to be in KC, but it does seem like people are kind of overrating him right now because KC drafted him.
we haven’t been good generally at drafting WRs except for Tyreek and Rice so it would be good if Worthy committed some kind of crime just to get the vibes right
I think it’s just because he’s a super fast guy and people think he’ll be Tyreek. long ways to go for anything like that and the draft is such a crapshoot anyway that no one has any idea what’ll happen if he can be a consistent deep threat and get us back to seeing 2 deep shells we should see a more similar offense to 2022 then 2023 so for that reason alone he’s likely more valuable to us than to most teams
Seems to be polar opposites. Either size his jacket for the HoF today or can't run a route what a shitty player like John Ross.
People definitely just equate any fast guy on KC to Hill, but you guys also already signed Marquise Brown. Worthy can do some gadget stuff that's fun and also get the deep ball, but I think part of KC's problem is none of your WRs seem to win that much on quick stuff. With Brown already in the fold, I think someone like McConkey or Coleman (for different reasons) would have given you a more interesting look as far as someone you don't already have. Rice looked like he was doing some of that kind of thing but who knows what his situation is going to be.
Rice will likely be ok for 2024 but will have some extra bye weeks during the Chiefs extended 2025 pre-season. Hollywood will be a nice player but is only here for one year. Worthy will have some time to learn for now and get some snaps as a decoy. They started Rice slowly last year even though it was obvious as fuck he was the only decent WR, frustrating everyone. Would expect the same for Worthy.
I don’t really see worthy as just a fast guy tbh. He’s a good route runner and releases really well, but I think it got overshadowed because he has freak show speed. My biggest concern with him is his size and if he gets bullied by nfl corners.
I wouldn’t call UT’s QB play a strength but it wasn’t exactly horrible either, they did make it to the playoff after all
You’re either completely biased or didn’t watch any Texas games last year if you think Ewers is a “total butt” quarterback.
first we must define “total butt” as a metric, and then using the Jones-Stevens method we can plot this against decades of historic football data, weighting for more recent years, of course. in this column, I will
No conference Notre Dame can make the playoff with Ian Butt at QB. But they are the exception, not the rule.
I love Legette, I'm already really upset that Bryce is gonna ruin his career and possibly life with soft tossed hospital balls
When the team succeeds in spite of the QB. You've got total butt. #Iowa Hawkeyes can tell you about this very well.
