i mean, maybe I'm misremembering, but didn't the majority of the polls swing towards trump right after the comey letter?
I said something similar last week but Biden should plan on Jedi mind declassifying select Trump-related information and sharing it publicly in the run up to Election Day.
there was movement towards trump immediately after but movement back towards Hillary in the last week or two
You may be thinking of after the fact when they did polling that suggested that the Comey letter almost certainly tipped the election but nothing beforehand.
I think this is accurate on the left and right. Billy Barr said “I’ll be dead” when asked about how his legacy will be remembered post enabling Trump.
These people are so fucking evil. The worst part of it they really believe murdering kids is a justifiable action. Insane
That Mindset tells you why Barr is such an evil piece of shit. Dude doesn’t care what people think, he only cares about himself
Nothing about that statement is objectionable. If anything there seems to be a disconnect between what the WH is being told is happening on the ground and what might actually be happening. Or local governments and law enforcement are lying about it (which in either case is probably true on its own).
This is just a derogatory attempt at minimizing the voices of those that want this country to be a better place
Rupar’s stuff always seems pretty fair and left leaning but yes I can see people making the point disingenuously.
Specifically if you look at his timeline, he's bitching wayyy too much about college kids rightfully and peacefully protesting. If nothing else this is spreading and has to be forcing the admin to think longterm about what they think is smart policy come November.
I just did a quick friar juggs and it looks like he’s been questioning left leaning voters for the past couple hours. I would say his commentary is not genuine
Get me my fainting couch, kids are protesting exactly in a way the anti-Vietnam war protests were transpiring? You're also disingenuously thinking any arabic word means they hate all Jews? GOOD HEAVENS!
They absolutely are. I’m just wondering and am curious what breaks through to the presidents attention. The statement is reasonable. Peaceful protests are American and good. But if locals are justifying based on hate speech, then this is the statement I would expect at the federal level. I know in my own social sphere I see the hate speech break through. So obviously it’s being pushed and media is using that to paint broad pictures of the protestors. a big thing is that local law enforcement is still seen as a reliable source of information. anyway if you haven’t listened to the behind the bastards on conservatives now would be a good time. This is the same playbook Reagan used to gain power by attacking students at Cal when he was governor. This isn’t new.
I’m more bringing up that I don’t know what is being put in front of him. If I was a reporter my follow ups would be to try to uncover what story is being presented federally that would lead to that response.
Pro-Zionist protestors at Northeastern University mockingly yelled out "kill all Jews" which an NPR reporter noted was said by them and no anti-Zionist protestors. Even when this was pointed out to NU administration they still said that "anti-Jewish" protests have no place there and were using this as a pretense to crack down.
Smashing the window makes it pretty easy for some media to use this to spark backlash. We all kinda know how the media works. There are agendas and good/bad opinions get laundered through the sausage machine to fit those narratives. Genocide is had. Targeting civilians is bad. Supporting either one is bad. Fucking a.
I’d like to know if the ppl chanting “from the river to the sea” in that Columbia video are pro Palestine or Israel
I’ve honestly melt a genocide and killing civilians is bad pov and not kept up with nuanced takes because I find the whole tragedy overwhelming. Has it been pretty well established that the connotation of “river to the sea”, which I’ve understood to be implying the eradication of Jews in Israel, is not the implication of pro Palestinian protestors using it?
Spoiler Contrary to the "everything is fine but the moron rubes are too stupid to realize it" talking point, these indices suggest that the electorate thinks everything is fine but that the bottom will drop out shortly. (66% somewhat/very likely a recession will begin within the next year).
This is propaganda that Israel has pushed for a LONG time which real Palestinians, not Hamas that has been propped up by Israel, mean strictly that they will one day be free. The loudest congressmen and women claiming it means they want to eradicate all Jewish people are those who have clearly been bought by AIPAC.
since the first and second infitada which is the most famous use of those words. Its like saying when did holocaust become hate speech it just means complete devastation by fire
keep reading. It has a very specific meaning in the context of Palestine and Israel In the Israeli–Palestinian conflict: First Intifada, a Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation lasting from December 1987 to 1993 Second Intifada, also called Al-AqsaIntifada, a period of intensified Israeli-Palestinian violence, which began in late September 2000 and ended around 2005 2014 Jerusalem unrest, a series of violent acts and attacks in Jerusalem in 2014 sometimes referred to as "Intifada" 2015–2016 wave of violence in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict – 2015 escalation in Israeli–Palestinian conflict, sometimes referred to as "Al-Quds Intifada" or "Jerusalem Intifada" or "Knife Intifada"[19] 2023 Israel–Hamas war, referred to by some commentators as the Third Intifada[20]
