Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: Where drivers piss and moan about each other like TMBers** Rowdy and Happy got into it big time. Never seen them use cars the way they did post race. Happy got out of his car and tried to punch Rowdy - got one punch in before Rowdy put the empty 29 car into the pit wall. It was amazing. Plus, Regan Smith uses a stay-out strategy to beat the 99 and get his first win. Awesome night.
Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: Where drivers piss and moan about each other like TMBers** Well that is awesome for Regan! Will try and find the fight video! Damn I hate I missed it

Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: Where drivers piss and moan about each other like TMBers** Couldn't find the Regan Smith post-race video, but a great story from it: His mom goes to every race of his, but missed this one because she's down in Alabama helping out post-tornado, specifically with animal shelters. Smith was tearing up wishing his mom a happy Mother's Day

Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: How can you not love Regan Smith winning?** When he hit the wall he damaged the crush paneles that keep the fumes out of the car. He was breathing carbon monoxide all night.

Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: How can you not love Regan Smith winning?** Really frustrating race. Good for Kenseth, but the two best cars are gonna finish outside the top 5.
Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: Where drivers piss and moan about each other like TMBers** shit happened again this week. i know he had only two tires, but from 5th to 17th in 35 laps?? good god. martin had no tires, was running a spot behind the #24 before the final pit stop, and only dropped from 1st to 2nd. even when gordon was on equal tires, there was a restart where he started 9th and, like clockwork, was back in 14th 2 laps later.

Re: **2011 NASCAR Thread: How can you not love Regan Smith winning?** TROUTMAN, NC --- NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was cited for careless and reckless driving Tuesday afternoon after a deputy said he clocked Busch driving nearly three times the posted speed limit. Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chris Stone, a member of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) team, said he stopped a 2012 yellow Lexus LFA sports car after he clocked it doing 128 mph in a 45 mph zone on Perth Road near Judas Road south of Troutman. Stone said he was traveling north on Perth Road near the entrance to the Honeysuckle Creek subdivision when he spotted a yellow sports car traveling at a high rate of speed. “I didn’t even know what kind of car it was,” Stone said. “I hit my radar button and it read 128.” Stone said he turned his vehicle around, and when he caught back up with the car, it was turning left onto Judas Road. Stone said he turned on his blue lights and the car pulled into the parking lot of a church at the intersection of Judas and Perth roads. Stone said there was a woman in the car with Busch, but she was not identified. “She didn’t say a word and I didn’t speak to her,” he said. The car was a manufacturer’s vehicle and wasn’t registered in anyone’s name, Stone said. He said he asked Busch why he was driving at such a high rate of speed. “He said ‘This is just a toy,’ ” Stone said. He said Busch indicated the car, a rare two-seat sport coupe produced by Lexus, was on loan to him from the manufacturer. Stone said Busch was cooperative. “He wasn’t arrogant or anything,” he said. Capt. Darren Campbell said that in these situations, it is standard procedure to issue a citation and release the person rather than arresting the driver and requiring a bond to be posted for release from custody. “A bond is an assurance you will appear in court,” he said. “He (Busch) had ID and lived in the area so there was no need for a bond.” Busch, driver of the No. 18 M&M/Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, was cited for careless and reckless driving and speeding, Stone said. Busch finished second in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway after winning the pole. The previous weekend, he finished fourth in the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway. Busch is currently third in the Sprint Cup standings, trailing Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson. Busch, who recently turned 26, was recently involved in a confrontation with fellow driver Kevin Harvick after a race at Darlington Raceway. After the race, Busch parked behind Harvick on pit road, and Harvick climbed out and approached Busch’s car and took a swing at Busch, according to ESPN. Busch drove away, pushing Harvick’s car into the inside retaining wall on pit road. Calls to Joe Gibbs Racing seeking comment on the citations and Busch’s status for this weekend’s Coca Cola 600 were not returned.
