We wasted 3 months with Gerrard in front of lovren/skrtel. Inexplicably that is the formation right now. Even have Balo alone up top for good measure
What happened to Dortmund this season? I know they've been shitty and no one blames knopp. If not his fault then who?
We're really banged up most of the season. When you keep selling your best players every year on top of that, it's hard to overcome
@OptaJoe: 12 - Liverpool have won 12 of 31 games (39%) when Steven Gerrard has started this season, compared to 13 of 21 (62%) when he hasn't. Info. @Squawka: Brendan Rodgers on Steven Gerrard's performance: "I thought he was excellent today." http://t.co/JLSjWDxkoB
@PeteKopite: 3 years under Benitez or Houllier you could see a top side emerging. 3 years under BR and we don’t even know what formation we are playing.
Fidel GaGstro @_Gags_ 58m58 minutes ago The Lovren shot at the end had fans chuck their drinks and maybe food towards the pitch. One guy repeatedly kicked the seat in front.
Serious question- Does FSG fire BR at the end of this season since we have no hardware, faltered mightily in Europe and didn't really compete for Top 4? Or do they let things continue on?
pool apparently was one of the 3 (with manU and PSG) to approach PSV about Memphis Depay. Would be so excited if we nabbed him, very much doubt it though
Should have bought him last year when we had Champions league and the money. We got Lallana instead....that's just brilliant.
They sacked Daglish for less. Really it depends on who you can get to replace him. Sounds like the De Boer ship has sailed and Klopp is a pipe dream.
Tony Evans had some things to say today. Of note from twitter Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 2h2 hours ago 3) Says methods on recruitment changed over years since BR appointed but going forward BR will have less say if he stays at #LFC Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 2h2 hours ago 4) Evans confirms that the 3 Saints players were completely all down to BR & not committee's choices. #LFC Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 2h2 hours ago 5) Evans says FSG still believe in trans committee & see it as way forward. Same with buying cheaper, younger players with potential. #LFC Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 1h1 hour ago 10) As already tweeted, says BR isn't defo "safe" & FSG "may" be tempted by Klopp. Evans surpised by how close BR was to sack in Dec. #LFC Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red · 1h1 hour ago 11) Evans believes FSG's running of the club and team means Klopp would turn down #LFC as he'd want more input. Same with any top manager. Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 1h1 hour ago 12) Evans says BR's biggest threat to getting sack is if he starts pointing finger towards Boston & saying signings weren't his choice. #LFC Austeritypool@Tony_The_Red 1h1 hour ago 18) FSG won't be happy with EL instead of CL & will see it as a HUGE missed opportunity this season. #LFC
So much of that angers me, but for whatever reason #5 gets me the most. FSG still sticking w the BS moneyball approach when the track record is that it just doesn't work. Also, if we got someone like Klopp then I'd be fine giving him all the final decisions on transfers because he has that experience and is proven in that decision making process. BR was not and it has shown.
