Well now you need talk to the informant because early story quests will get you much more experience then just going around doing ? marks and secondary quests.

 

Wow I feel retarded playing this game. I stepped outside the pub beat up 2 guys then got killed. I don't understand the card game at all.

 

Love the card game....its a perfect "kinda bored of doing quests, what should i do now?" activity.

Only complaint I have is that I wish load screens were shorter because I die so much

Is there any way to replenish your potions during a quest?

 

meditate?

 

I've also becoming a fan of the yrden, magic trap sign. Slows everyone down and makes for easy combos.

 

Ya this makes sense, I have a weird way of trying to do one cohesive run.

 

Meditate will replenish all potions, bombs, and oils if you have enough strong alcohol in your inventory.

Need to step that hoard game up. I got 100+ and am practically Buddha

 

Horse races are pretty easy in this game. I'd recommend doing them ASAP to upgrade your horse.

Plus it's easy money

 

What are you guys putting your ability points in early on? I've put 3 in the quick attack t start since it's terribly weak.

Quen, Axii for dialogue options, sun and stars, the one that gives you +500 vitality and fast attack

 

Do those yellow general perks have to be put in a slot to activate like all the others? They seem good but i dont know if im willing to give up a precious slot and a mutagen perk for them.

Also, if i have say quen upgraded to the second tier. Do i have to put teir 1 and tier 2 in a slot or can i just put the tier two in?

this whole thing of not letting me save and then having to reset the game is really fucking annoying. i get through a decent chunk, die, and then i have to reset and it will start me way back. i'm not going to play again until they fix this.

 

Save out of combat?
I have no issues saving unless I'm in combat or a sequence of events which it normally saves at the start

 

yeah, i can just be walking around picking flowers and it wont let me save. then when i die, it takes me back to the last major point in the game, which for me is basically when you start the velen map .

 

Just bought this. Not normally my type of game but I'm pretty excited.

 

Happened to me twice. I didn't have to start that much over thank goodness

 

I havent had any problems with saving. Im on xbox though. Loading the game after dieing is pretty annoying though.

Ive also been watching a guy stream on pc a bunch this week and hes been able to save fine too.

 

Palyed for around 70hrs so far. Am just entering my first city.

 

When you reach the bathhouse, might want to make a save on the side because its only there once.

Only played an hour but I can tell I will really like this game

 

A whole lot of patience

 

Anytime I fight a pocket of enemies I save after. On Death March even at a few low level enemies can spell doom.

 

Knowing you Trofie you will be a fan my friend.

 

This game is absolutely in my top 5 all time. Could be #1 if the movement wasn't so awkward. Especially with Roach, almost easier to just run. But holy shit. Its GTA, Arkham series, Skyrim .... Ridiculous. Never seen so much thought out content.

 

What are the little red triangle things on the minimap? Elevation markers or something?

 

Yep, it's the elevation difference between you and the point of interest

I hate Drowners more than knowing no one at a party and sitting awkwardly looking at my phone to pass time.

 

Yeah by far my most hated enemy in this trilogy.

 

It doesn't matter when i save. I will be able to save and then all of pla sudden i wont he able to. It's apparently a bug for xbone that will get patched
