I didn't get a chance to watch teh match vs chicago. I might try and go this weekend but game 5 of the Stanley cup =/
Most important win of the season. That monkey is off the back. Lewis Neal was putting on a clinic tonight on and off the ball. Cup match on Wednesday night at Charleston. Live stream will be available on the site.
Any reason, other than they just don't have the ability to broadcast the game of my65, I thought that was the point of the local TV deal, to be able to watch all the games. Even the friendly last month was on local TV? What site will the game be on exactly and why the hell are we playing at a USL team instead of the other way around? I see most the MLS teams are hosting.
That game was nuts. Totally unnecessary having to exhaust our guys like that to get through our first round in the Cup but at least they showed they care. That's another important step in getting US Soccer to the next level. Have your big fish advancing at a solid rate and showing that your domestic cup is in the same realm as your Shield or MLS Cup. I know Edwards had 4 get past him tonight but I thought he was tremendous. Clearly not his fault on the PK and there was no getting to that howler on the 3rd goal. Donovan was a liability on the 2nd, losing his man. Edwards displayed a lot of athleticism.
im not touching the charleston thread but apparently this happened Amy Fadool Kane @amyfadoolCSN Jun 18 Since they deleted (and defended) their terrible tweet ...Here's the @TheOCRoar's distasteful tweet. Just awful awful Chuck Tolman is the host of The Roar of Lions and is a proud member of the Iron Lion Firm
It's been discussed on r/OCLions and everyone was pretty pissed off. The account has since been deleted and the guy removed all traces of his podcast and whatnot from the Internet. Someone linked to a YouTube interview with the guy from after the Crew game and he was very obviously a tremendous douche. He talked about how he'd fuck up any Crew fans that wandered his way. Very awkward and unsettling to watch. Obviously he isn't indicative of the entire fan base, but there have been too many bad stories about OC fans recently.
Guy has been arrested at games for battery. Massive piece of shit and hope he loses any job he may have and gets banned from games. Orlando has developed a really poor fan rep already. And Larin should have at least one by now.
That game was frustrating but understandable. Huge hangover from the USOC match earlier in the week. Neal was totally gassed from the get-go, Higuita played like an idiot, and Kaka tried to take on way too many defenders. On top of that, no one could complete a pass from 6-10 yards. I don't think Collin is fully recovered. He should sit a few games because I think St. Ledger and Hines paired surprisingly well together last night. I'm pleasantly surprised with our backline at this point in the season. The mistakes generally come from the midfield if we get burnt for a goal.
Shea is dealing with a groin issue from the last round of friendlies. Going to a specialist later in the week. It is going to be miserable with the heat and storms.
That was a good afternoon storm that passed over the stadium. Match is delayed. Probably 8pm earliest start time.
God damn, I see you Kaka. Boden, Rivas, and Neal have been tremendous. Larin been a little meh but that was a spectacular ball in and a great finish by him. Let's see this shit out.
Gameday. but looks like no TV and playing at the same time as USA vs Germany. Could be smallest crowd of the year. Playing the Crew do we put the full A squad out there minus Larin?
There was a YouTube stream for the match against Charleston, so maybe US Soccer will do that again. I thought about snagging a cheap ticket at the last minute, but I'll probably stay in to watch both matches. It's going to be warm with my Orlando city and U.S. shirts both on
MLS game streamed on youtube? gotta get this shit together didn't My 65 broadcast a game or two so far?
They do, but those are MLS and this is US Open Cup. If you have a Chromecast or game console, you can stream it on your TV.
didn't even realize it was an open cup game, which now makes more sense guess i can watch women on the tv while this on the computer so not too bad
Two great goals, though. I'm sure OC will put out a highlight video in the next day or so. The Rivas finish was awesome.
OCSC doing a Wall Street watch party for the World Cup Sunday. They're going to start selling red, white, and blue themed OCSC gear, too, so expect for club and country scarves and other things. Party is from 5 to 11, with the match starting at 7. I think i'm going to head down there with a few friends.
I was pretty frustrated with the red to kaka, but then no card at all for the last man foul on Rivas sent me over the edge. Fuck.
Deal is not happening. Between the transfer fee and the 10m+ salary is way too rich especially if Daddy Don is not going to use the league funds for the transfer fee.
