Been pretty solid last few weeks. Took first in a couple of 100 person leagues and had a streak of top five finishes in mini moonshot. Ready for football
I've been on a hot streak as well. I'm starting to get it figured out or so I think but definitely not as exciting as basketball and football. It does entertain me during the killer summer months though.
I like baseball because of the statistical side of things. It seems easiest to predict and there are so many different combinations. I'm just not a baseball guy although I know more about teams and park factors and other things than I ever thought I'd know.
Won 4 out of 5 nights this week playing 50'50 or double ups only after not playing for a while. Addicted again
I had 2 free tickets for the million challenge and didn't sign up in time like a shit head. So I played the 400k with them. In line to make $100 out of this. Good 4 picks for me in Spieth/Johnson/Sergio/Padraig. Harris English shit the bed today and my awful pick of Jimenez missed the cut. Currently 633 with both entries.
I won about 60 on 16 worth of entries for pga. Had one guy barely miss the cut which cost me big money. I was up $800 before cut. Won $145 on $8 worth of entries last night in MLB Ready for football but kind of like MLB for dfs.
Yeah when you have 1 miss the cut it blows. Leishman was the same money as Jimenez, If I would have him there im staring at 2nd place. Oh well will take a free $100 I ended up with 469.5 points. What you have?
432.0 It's been a minute since I had all golfers go through to weekend. Really thought I had it this time and fucking kisner screws around and MC. Nothing wrong with free money. Got an email from DK saying swing for fences was win or money back ( which is great cuz I was gonna play in it anyways)
I hadn't played in a long time so last night with the $100 in my account, I went and put it all on one lineup of Baseball. 10 different tournaments (2 GPPs & 8 50/50). Placed in all of them. Now up to $237
Me not posting answers that Had 2 good pitchers. Lineup wasn't great. Took some long shots with people like Schoop and Bourn and they did noting.
That's sucks. I picked tonight's lineup while laying on table having vasectomy done. Just for shits and giggles.
Yeah my lineup was Beurhle & Wacha. 18.95 & 17.65 so decent pitcher points. Fielder had 19 & JD Martinez 23. That was about it for me. Gomes was cheap and got me 7. Schoop/Tulowitzki/Bourn had 0 each. Beltre/Kemp 2 each.
FYI there's a ton of dead money in DK MLS. In last weekend's big GPP, 10% of the field had Clint Dempsey who has been away from MLS for weeks now
normally I have a few guys miss the cut on the number in fantasy golf each week, today the golf gods were on my side when 2 made it in on the number. I am at 6k out of 134k, top 31k get paid. Nothing earth shattering but thankful to have the leader Chad Campbell and all 6 guys make the weekend for once.
Rotowire's rankings/podcast whoscored.com watching some MLS it's a lot like basketball, you have to pay attention to starting lineups
Threw together an mma lineup but wasn't confident in it so I didn't post it. Cashed in couple of ten dollar 50/50s Won about $175 in MLB with 168.65
my original lineup that i set would've been good for a T25 and $50. instead i substituted Kraus and Barao for Dillashaw and Villante. still ended up with $7 though.
Can't wait for NFL to start up again. Basically stopped playing MLB and NBA after losing money hand over fist. I've got a pretty good source for NFL and follow fantasy much more there than other sports.
yeah, i've only played mlb twice, and it was just terrible for me. i'll stick to golf and mma for right now.
I love MLB. Easily most profitable for me. This is my first year playing it. Been doing DFS for football for Going on four years. I've done well in it as well but not like baseball. I think it's the flow of it where it is every damn day vs once a week.
Thats what I couldn't stand about MLB and NBA. So much tracking lineups and starts and guys getting rest and being tied to the computer all evening checking twitter. I like having the whole week to put together a lineup. I've posted in here before, but I made a ton of money using the FootballGuys database. Its $30 for the whole season and I easily made that money back. I'll post some of their value rankings and stuff in here, but it doesn't lend well to copy paste and I think it's a great product and worth paying for so I feel a little bad stealing it.
Doesn't look like their DFS tool is live yet, but once it is it's really helpful for picking out lineups. Also your registration fee enters you into their contest: http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/entry.php Kind of an interesting contest. I've been tinkering with it a little bit but I think I'm going to go with a top-heavy strategy and just try to survive bye weeks.
Any websites out there that you would recommend to use when setting your DFS lineups? I am really only concerned with football and do not mind paying a membership fee to get the good stuff.
dailyfantasysportsrankings.com is my favorite daily baseball advice site fantasyrundown.com is a great collection of daily or year long fantasy articles. It has all major fantasy sports which is great. Twitter of course is probably the best overall DFS tool out there.
I currently have a Fanduel account, but more people seem to have Draftkings. Has anyone tried both and liked one over the other?
Draftkings is better for NFL because youre entire lineup doesn't lock once the first game starts. You can sub players any time up until their games start. Makes a big difference if you're playing in a Thursday-Monday league since so much can change in that time.
I need some help here, I live in the great state of Louisiana where they don't allow these wonderful daily leagues. I can sign up using my sister's info / credit card (lives in MS) - but when I go to add money it blocks me because my IP address is still in Louisiana. Can someone tell me how to trick the computer to think I'm somewhere else (I need instructions like a 5-year-old). Also I'm assuming once I have money in the account I'll be able to log in from wherever?
I have both and liked basketball better on fanduel because I felt the position structure forced you to find values (but it probably had more to me winning more on fanduel). I tried baseball on fanduel for the first half of the year then switched over to draftings and find the scoring and the 2 pitcher slots to be better on DK. I've played a little football on both but didn't play enough to form an opinion. Overall though, I think draftings has the better operation.
I started out FD and have since switched the majority of my DFSing to DK. 1. They have MMA dfs, FD does not 2. I like two pitching slots on DK significantly more than FD's one 3. The layout is significantly better 4. Looking at their sponsorships/marketing/advertising, I get the sense that DK is committed to establishing themselves as the best DFS site, which in turn... 5. Adds a sense of legitimacy, and as a former poker player, this is important to me--I don't feel like I have to withdraw my DK balance every month, and that certainly feels like the case at times with FD, although I am a bit more cynical than most when it comes to that
