A second independent foreign publisher of GRRMs books cans out today expecting a 2016 release. Obviously not definitive but two solid sources saying 'SOON' is a good sign I guess.

While there’s been plenty of speculation and suspicious sightings, we finally have some actual information about the Lord Commander’s fate. Is he really gone for good? Check out the latest Jon Snow news after the spoiler warning. Spoiler This is a serious spoiler warning. We’re about to lay out some information that has to do with more than just life or death. We are off book, off the map, here be serious spoilers. Ready? Here we go. Watchers on the Wall, the Game of Thrones community site that has quite the knack for breaking news, has this to report from their little birds in Ireland. Jon Snow isn’t only back next season. He’s back with a vengeance. On-set reports have him fighting a battle in the frosty North. Not just any battle, a big battle which will likely take the traditional spotlight in episode 9. For the past two seasons Jon Snow has been at the center of the major Game of Thrones battles, first at the Wall and then at Hardhome. It would be a shame to have a slaughter without him. Unlike the previous two battle episodes, this Northern clash likely won’t involve too many supernatural elements. Reports from the set indicate a major showdown between the Northern Houses, the Wildlings, the Boltons, and more. There have been several casting calls for Northern Lords, specifically those of House Umber. That, you may recall, is where Rickon and Osha were headed way back in Season 3. The littlest Stark and his Wildling nanny are slated to return this season. Devoted fans already know that the Umbers are very loyal to the Starks. How loyal? Back in Season 1 Greatjon Umber had his finger bitten off by Robb’s direwolf and still followed him into battle. So expect House Umber to want their vengeance on the nasty Boltons for all the crimes they’ve committed against Winterfell, Sansa, Robb, Catelyn, and the rest. This battle will likely also have something to do with Littlefinger’s curious machinations. Will he battle against the Boltons using Cersei’s royal decree and the mighty knights of the Vale? Or will he battle with them? Only Lord Baelish knows for sure. But of all the Houses potentially involved in this skirmish, the one we are all most excited about is House Snow. (Jon doesn’t actually have his own house. . .but if he did the sigil would probably have something to do with his hair.) Not only was Kit Harington seen filming the battle, but he was also spotted earlier this week palling around in Belfast with Iwan Rheon a.k.a. Ramsay Bolton. Now that news of Harington’s involvement in a battle scene is finally out of the bag, maybe the poor man can finally get some peace in Belfast. Or maybe fans will refuse to believe he’s back until they either see actual footage or read it in George R.R. Martin’s next book, The Winds of Winter. Well, if rumors can be believed, they may get to read news of Jon Snow’s battles sooner than expected.

I used to read 100% of this thread. In the last few pages I've maybe read 5% and skim over the rest out of fear. I don't like it.
I look at the shows as being entirely different, and the books as being the real thing, so I dont mind being spoiled about the show. Especially since I will probably forget anyways.
Yeah a show spoiler won't really bother me much, it won't change how I read the books at all because I know some characters will die in the show that are still alive, and a lot of book characters aren't even in the show so their story line will still be very interesting. I mean we all know the Greyjoys wont end up winning in the end, but it's still a great story line.

Just for your information, this is my second update, my last one was last week, I will post this weekly. CONFIRMED There will be a scene with Kinvara, a red priestess that was summoned to Meereen by Varys and Tyrion. Yohn Royce is returning. The Dothrakis are coming. A children of the forest has been cast so they will probably appear in Season 6. The Northern Lords will appear and it will be SmallJon Umber and the new Lord Karstark.. We are going to see Oldtown. We are going to meet the Tarlys. There will be a Tarly family dinner that Sam is going to crash. We are going to see more of the Ironborn, including Euron Greyjoy and Asha/Yara Greyjoy. The Tarly family will be played by James Faulkner(Father), Samantha Spiro(Mother), Rebecca Benson(Sister) and Freddie Stroma(Brother) Arya will be chased by The Waif. Pilou Asbaek will be Euron Greyjoy. According to what Finn Jones (Loras) said, the last episode of the season is very shocking. 500 extras planned for big scene in Girona (KL or Bravoos) . Areo Hotah will be in this season but no indication of Doran Martell. Hodor is back ! There will be a flashback scene for Hodor's origin. Mace and Olenna will share a scene together. Jaime will try to save Margaery from the High Sparrow's claws, but the High Sparrow will give without anything in return because she has been turned in a devotee to the Faith of the Seven and it's feature in episode 6. There will be a big battle in the North that supposedly will feature The Umbers, the wildlings, The Boltons and more suprisingly, JON SNOW. The Mercy Chapter in TWOW sample chapters is going to appear but not in the same way, Arya will be watching the show instead of appearing in it, at least that what they are saying. The actors are casted for the Bravoosi theatrical troupe and in between them is Richard Grant, Essie Davis, Eva Butterfly, Kevin Eldon and Leigh Gill. There will be a scene featuring Sam speaking to a Maester in Oldtown. The Tyrell army was spotted in KL. Details in Arya's clothes reveal that they will be wet and bloody in episode 7, but DONT WORRY, there also details about episode 8 so she'll live. According to Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) she will have a 'thuggish' fight in season 6.
