I don't mind Kyle throwing game four, but I'm curious what the winner of that wild card game will do. I would prefer Kyle throwing against their ace as opposed to Lackey.
My guess would be that whoever wins the Wild Card, they will pitch their ace, then not pitch them till game 3 of the NLDS. I would like to see the rotation go Lester, Hendricks and Arrietta. That way we don't let their bats get started then Lester and Arrieta shut them down and we sweep. Then we can set up our rotation for the NLCS.
I'd probably go Arrieta, Hendricks, Lester, Lackey. Jake game 1 is a no-brainier then that also allows you to let Hendricks pitch at home where he's been lights out. I like Lester and Lackey on the road.

For those of you who are old enough and remember him, this was a good article on Kyle Farnsworth: http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...ok-talents-south-mexico-keep-playing-baseball Since it's referenced, I remember running into Kyle outside of Wrigley just after that series. He was outside the player's entrance, waiting for the team bus to Milwaukee, and we were on the way to Tuscany for dinner. As we walked by, he looked at us and said "Hi." Wife responded with "Nice takedown." He laughed. /coolstorybro
Clifton took the mound in Myrtle Beach's opening playoff game and easily out-dueled Red Sox super prospect Michael Kopech (possessor of the 105 mph fastball) 6-5-1-1-1-6 MB lit Kopech up for 6 runs on 5 hits in 2.1 IP.
Sahadev Sharma @sahadevsharma 10h10 hours ago Milwaukee, WI Maddon was asked what happened with pulling Grimm after one batter. "What happened? I did not want him to soil himself on the mound."
Dylan Cease opened the Emeralds playoff series tonight 4 IP-2h-0R-2BB-6K 9-3-0-2-16 his last two starts.

Myrtle Beach goes ahead 2-1 in the Carolina League championship series (best of 5) Clifton dominant again 6-3-0-0-0-5
Came to bitch about Jones not sending Bryant on what should have been an inside the park homer but the Rizzo homer made me less angry. Magic number about to be 1.
I still think Bryant is in front but if Rizzo gets hot over these next few weeks it will be interesting.
Myrtle Beach won their league championship tonight. All three of our A-ball clubs had great seasons. In high-A, Myrtle Beach went 82-57 and won their league championship. In full-season A, South Bend went 84-55 and lost in the semis, and in short-season A, Eugene went 54-22 and won their league championship.
More on Clifton, he finishes with 10 straight quality starts. 61.2 IP 1.90 ERA 42 Hits 10 BB 63 Ks Will be 21 starting at double-A Tenn next year.
Clifton had a great year. There have been some reports that his secondary pitches have looked much better. And, obviously, his control and command have improved a ton. He is about all there is to get excited about, as far as potential starters go, that could conceivably be up in the not-too-distant future. He joins Oscar De La Cruz and Dylan Cease as our first real, legitimate pitching prospects in awhile.
It would be nice if Underwood became interesting again next year and Hatch of course. Glad to see you lively ITT again. Was getting weird in here with backinblack off his meds
