I don't think Joe is flawless. But without question his pros outweigh his cons. We're going to get a ton of heat and shit from fans and media. We won't be a good story much longer. We will be hated soon enough. It's how the sports world works.
Cubs played 3 pitchers, a catcher, and a second baseman in left field last night. People can fuck off saying Schwarber doesn't have a position.
I agree. I see some parallels in how a lot of my friends started getting warriors fatigue this NBA season. When the team is talked about in the media so heavily, the internet masses are quick to turn.
Did Hamilton misplay it, did he lose it in the sky, odd bounce? On the radio they just talked about him being down.
Hamilton and the left fielder (Duvall) were converging and when Duvall whiffed it went off Hamilton's head. Hamilton was sliding and Duvall was still in a full sprint. Looked like it may have caught a small piece of Duvall's glove but Hamilton never really had a chance.
Whats it going to take to get Doolittle from the A's? Think that's probably the best we can do if the Yankees truly are asking for Schwarber for Miller.
Junior Lake sighting, starting for Toronto today. I can't believe he was a starter for us just a couple years ago.
Getting a little tired of seeing Justin Grimm in professional baseball games. Outside of last night he's been brutal lately. 14 hits and 8 walks in his last 7 1/3 IP
I would think for a relief pitcher, I could see some sort of combo of prospects like Candelerio, Vogelbach, Dewees, Zagunis and Caratini. I would hope we would not give up a promising player like Schwarber or a top 5 prospect for a relief arm. added - not all of those prospects but 2-3 of them
@GDubCub: Heyward out second game in row, in part to give sore left side an extra day. Said muscle pain not serious, caused from OF throws.
So is Bryant the NL MVP leader at this point? Only guys that I think could be also considered at this point are Arenado, Murphy, or Carpenter.
About has to be. Best player (numbers wise) on the best team in baseball (record wise). League leader in homers to go with a .370+ OBP. Throw in his defensive versatility for good measure and I'd say he'd be a near lock for the first half NL MVP.
Right decision bad throw. Problem is Peralta. Doolittle to the DL with shoulder strain. That'll hurt.
Bad throw but the bullpen fucks us yet again. Not hard to see it coming trotting Peralta out there but there's really no good options at this point.
Yeah it was a shit throw. Beyond shit. I understand what you're saying I just thought it was the easier play. He was going to be out by plenty. Peralta is just a bad idea. Oh well.
