Marty Kaan any suggestions for sonic bloom?

 

Really excited to noodle like Marty Kaan next week at Paradiso.

 

Have some friends at Firefly who keep posting shit on fb. Aren't you supposed to go to festivals in a way to almost get away from the real world, and not constantly document your time there? Never got that.

 

No. The whole point of Social Media is to make everyone else jealous of how sweet your life is.

 

I think I took my phone out twice at Hangout fest and it was to get a video or Umphreys and one of MMJ

 

I went to Waka last year and my phone was off the entire time. Had friends go to Bonnaroo as well who were texting me and posting shit on fb while there. Do not get.

 

But yea videos and such are understandable

 

Here's what I'm picking for Paradiso... Outside of Savant I don't care THAT much. If I have 2 or 3 at the same time it just means that I haven't decided or I don't care between them, or if possible see half and half.

2 huge festivals this past weekend, surprised no one posted about them.

I probably had 9 or 10 people I'm connected with on snapchat at EDC, and another was texting me from Firefly. EDC looked bananas.

Firefly got shutdown Saturday afternoon due to shitty weather.

 

went to bloom and hung out with my friends. EDC sucks

 

I want to see Firefly carnage.

Yep..and I'm having a hard time not wanting to go to this even though it's like two weeks after Phases of the Moon.

 

Wanted to, but no, it takes legitimate effort to get to. I'm doing Paradiso instead.

The CounterPoint people are slightly obsessed with Suwanee... Considering the lineup, that makes complete sense.

ETA: I'd fucking love to go to that. When they said Suwanee originally I thought they meant Suwanee, GA -- FL is more of an investment.

ETA x2: Granted I'm not totally into this shit, but I remember listening to STS9 back in like 2002. Haha. That would be pretty fun.

 

It's the best festival grounds in the nation. Google hulaween Suwannee and look at images.

 

Sonic Bloom was great.

Perfect size, great vibes, easy walking to the music, creek for refreshment and about 30-40 kids from Tallahassee.

STS9 is money right now. would recommend.

You think it'll be better than The Gorge? I'll definitely be there this weekend and report back.

 

I'm not seeing much of the actual campground..not sure if I can rely on my hammock or have to bring a tent.

Never been to the gorge. Stage looks awesome but I'll take Suwannee's camping over any festivals.

 

The gorge is beautiful but I hear it is bitch to dance on because there is no flat areas

 

Do people have sex in the hammocks tho

 

Quite frankly people have sex everywhere.

 

Tents are one thing, because there is more cover and it's less obvious than a hammock. The thing with tents though, is that you get a false sense of security, and have literally no sound privacy. Makes me laugh every time, because we've allll been guilty of it at some point or another.

Fucked in a tent at last years Roo and it wasn't worth the hassle. Probably the most sweaty I've ever been and it's super cramped.

 

Banged in tents at TW and CP... Got called out both times. C'est la vie.

 

STS9 would be near the top of any list that I could come up on sets to see currently. Top notch shit

#firefly2015 had a ton of good stuff Saturday night/Sunday morning. It was a mess, everyone sleeping in cars and campsites destroyed. Luckily we were staying at a relative's house a little ways a way.

 

Just got my ticket, I think that first wave of early bird tickets is a goddamn myth..I was there but still got denied.

Damn, Hulaween early bird tiers one and two were both sold out within 10 minutes..no wonder I didn't get tier 1.

 

Hulaween looks sick. I really want to go to that.

 

It's a sad sad day. Bear Creek was very special to me and my tally fam.

At least hula is giving me a reason to head back home during trim season.
