That's an insanely billed poster. 21 Pilots above Beck and Deadmau5? The Lumineers seem way too low. Chvrches is extremely low. I guess it's more of a "pop" festival, but G Eazy that high over like Chvrches is very odd to me
Should be: Alabama Shakes ~ The Killers ~ Beck ~ Deadmau5 The Lumineers ~ Leon Bridges ~ 21Pilots ~ Chvrches
The Coathangers seem pretty out of place there. Not as far as where they are billed but just the fact they're among those other bands
The Killers ~ Beck ~ Deadmau5 ~ Alabama Shakes ~ The Lumineers ~ Chvrches ~ Twenty One Pilots ~ Leon Bridges
So, Glastonbury is p great It's muddy from previous day's rain, but it should dry up before it officially starts Friday. All I know is that it's 75 when I'm used to 95 back home. One word description: huuuuuuuuge
Yeah, once I get back stateside and in front of an actual computer, I'll give a deep dive. As much as is possible, I'm "glamping". Well, I have my own entrance to the festival (some poor GA bastards were in line for 8+ hours), my tent is pre-erected and my area has its own showers/pissers. I couldn't imagine fighting this mud otherwise. Surprisingly strong data signal. I'm going to listen to the Rangers game while I fall asleep.
Good little read on festivals being bought up by the likes of AEG and LiveNation http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/3816796a-3178-11e6-ad39-3fee5ffe5b5b.html#axzz4BrobDfyv
Still going to FloatFest in a few weeks? Probably just doing Saturday because I'm taking off Friday and going down there early to get loose at a ranch house we have 20 staying at. Don't feel like taking off monday as well with the concerts being sunday night. Will most likely be at Rooftop and Vodka Street friday night and saturday after the music is done for the night
Sooooo.... Glastonbury is/was amazing and I'm lucky to have experienced it. The mud sucked, HARD, but what can you do? I'll have an epic post in the next few days.
Yeah I was actually about to post something in the jam thread. Confirmed for Saturday and Sunday, no mention of the "friends" but I'd say Trey and Page are practically a lock for the Saturday show. It was announced on xm yesterday, which makes me think they'll put it out from one of their accounts today. Hopefully they'll actually have who the Friends are. And maybe make another announcement for Thursday.
It's a festival that I'm paying to go see in person, so that means Sirius/XM will probably broadcast the whole thing live. See Hulaween 2015 for examples.
I doubt there are any video streams. The past few years I think panicstream has streamed a good majority of the festival. I know they have archives of it anyway, and I'm sure they live streamed panic. But with no panic this year I don't know if he'll be there or not. That said, Phish ends up with a lot more video streams for their shows, so who knows. A lot will definitely be played on JamOn on Sirius/XM. Shapiro/Frey have a pretty good relationship with that station. Of course, Phil and Friends got announced on the Grateful Dead channel too, so maybe there.
Tex Tony Ray Bans fsugrad99 Is FunFunFun getting replaced by this "Sound on Sound" festival I just got an email about? It's in the same date frame: first weekend of November. And I haven't heard anything about FFF for this year. Apparently all the info/lineup comes out tomorrow
I think so. The company Margin Walker has stuff on the FFF Instagram and is advertising Sound on Sound. I'm hoping the lineup will be similar to what FFF has had.
I have never seen or heard of this, and although I think I understand what's happening, it's still very bizarre.
You are familiar with your brother cousins doing a very similar event called the running of the gumps. Many of these are those same gumps participating in the running of the tarps. Pretty sure they banned tarps because of this.
So is everything GA at red rocks? Seems to me that a ticket and seat number is the simple fix to this. Never been to red rocks but sounds like it'd be fun. However, no seat numbers kind of seems less kewl. :Old man yells at cloud:
only thing I hate is that they moved it from .5 mile from my apartment to fucking 30 minutes east of austin. decent lineup for a $175 weekend pass
