I'm somewhat new to this, but can someone explain to me why City is pot 2 and United, Arsenal are group 1? I get Chelsea being up there since they won, even though they couldn't manage a top 5 spot in England. I assume it's got something to do with previous Champions League success?
It is based on the club's performance in the Champions League and Europa League in the past 5 seasons. The title holders are guaranteed a spot in the competition regardless of their domestic league place. From the UEFA site
