Soon enough, my friend. But you should make a championship thread. I want to start following it more closely.
I'd say do predictions in here. Most team threads are going to have their own internal discussions, so I figure before the season is a good time to get predictions ITT. Like top 4 and bottom 3, FA, Carling, etc.
How about we pool together the extra 15 dollars a month it will cost me to get fox soccer, so I don't have to bitch and moan on the board and in chatzy about the poor quality of stream I am watching while AVB jumps up and down frantically as West Brom puts the wood to Spurs.
Also Top 4. 1. Citeh 2. Arsenal 3. Chelski 4. United Bottom 3. 18. Norwich 19. Wigan 20. Arsenal Capital One "Don't Call me the Carling Darling" Cup Liverpool, over Arsenal FA Cup United, over Arsenal
We've been over this a million times Giroud would be like 5th most attractive Spur. Just because you're used to staring at Gervinho doesn't mean that Giroud is worth diddly.
1. United 2. City 3. Arsenal 4. Chelsea 18.Aston Villa 19. West Brom 20. Reading Carling Cup- City FA Cup-Arsenal Also going with all 4 CL teams making quarters this year and 2 making semis
1. Arsenal - Yeah, I said it. Gunnin' like Gunners this year. 2. Citeh 3. Man U 4. Chelsea 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs Relegated: 1. Swansea 2. QPR 3. Southampton
1 City 2 United 3 Spurs 4 Arsenal 18 QPR 19 West Brom 20 Reading FA Cup: United over Liverpool Carling Cup: Spurs over Chelsea
1. City 2. Arsenal 3. Man U 4. Chelsea 18. Wigan 19. Aston Villa 20. Reading FA Cup - Arsenal Carling Cup - Spurs Golden Boot - Aguero
First player to be charged with racism- Going with Tevez with him having no idea what he is saying. First to moan about said racism- Obviously Rio Predicted month of first Balotelli incident- Going to say October # of clubs Joey Barton will be a part of from now till next May- 3 # of different Rooney hair styles this season- 4 plus a bonus of him dyeing it at least once First to moan about Man U preferential treatment- Wenger in a stunner over Mancini
From a person with no rooting interest I see ManU winning. I think Kagawa is the best addition of the summer as will put them over the top. And I don't even like ManU
Newcastle in trouble at start or season No hba for spurs and Ba, cisse, tiote, and cabaye are doubtful
1. City - 92-96 pts 2. United 86-90 pts 3. Arsenal 75-80 pts 4. Chelsea 70-75 pts 5. Tottenham 68-73 pts 18. Southampton 19. Reading 20. Wigan FA Cup - Arsenal over Tottenham Capital One Cup - Liverpool over Everton First Manager fired - Leslie Hughes in December and replaced by 'Arry Player of the Season - Aguero Golden Boot - Aguero 27 goals Golden Gloves - Hart 20 clean sheets Manager of the Season - Big Sam after West Ham finishes 8th Other predictions - QPR's Cisse will get the most red cards (4) and Newcastle's Tiote will lead in yellow cards (15) - David Silva will get 20+ assists - 3 Managers will be fired during the season
would take a big game from BAE, but RVP would probably get a lot of SOG, despite a solid game plan from AVB
I'm going 20 deep, guys. 1. City 2. United 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Spurs 6. Newcastle 7. Everton 8. Swansea 9. Liverpool 10. Stoke 11. Fulham 12. Sunderland 13. West Brom 14. Southampton 15. West Ham 16. Aston Villa 17. Wigan 18. Norwich 19. QPR 20. Reading
if arsenal gets sahin it will finish top 3 with a realistic shot for top 2 if they dont, they will have to fight for a 3rd - 5th place spot
Despite my homer picks in this thread, I actually agree with this take. Still another player away from real contention, especially with the lack of depth in midfield while the boy "recovers".
Love this prediction. I remember Cisse getting sent off his first match for QPR. Frimpong would complete the trifecta of EPL African warlords.
Top 4: Citeh Chelsea United Arsenal Bottom 3: Reading Norwich Southampton Golden Boot: Aguero Golden Gloves: Hart Cap One: Tottenham FA Cup: Chelsea
Top 8 City Arsenal (closer to United than City) United Chelsea Liverpool Spurs Everton Newcastle Relegated West Brom Aston Villa Southampton :( Golden Boot- Rooney (with 12 pks) POY- Yaya YPOY- Oxlade-Chamberlain (who locks up a starting CM spot with Arteta/Wilshere injured) Biggest Surprise- Liverpool challenge for the top 4 for most of the season, before fading away at the end Biggest Disappointments- Cisse comes back to earth for Newcastle, Wilshere doesn't play until January, Hazard struggles Best Signings- Cathorla/Kagawa/Marin Worst Signings- Hazard/Oscar/Podolski Spoiler none of this will actually happen, and jk liverpool fans
i was wondering why people have liverpool over us, but then i realize we are starting jermain defoe full time
Top 4: City United Arsenal Chelsea Bottom 3: Norwich West Brom Southampton Golden Boot: Rooney Golden Gloves: Hart Cap One: Chelsea FA Cup: Arsenal
really really hard to tell the issue, as it has been all along, is wages. ade wants to be at spurs, but levy gonna levy (to be fair, he was on pretty high wages at city)
Top 5: Man City United Chelsea Arsenal Spurs Bottom 3: Southampton Norwich Wigan Golden Boot: Kun Aguero Golden Gloves: Cech Best Signings: M. Petric, S. Cazorla, M. Marin Worst Signings: Oscar, J. Rodwell, F. Borini
A 33 year CB that has seen his better days and another coming off major knee surgery does not inspire a lot of confidence in their central defense. Very soft central midfield. Who is going to score goals outside of Rooney? And Phil Jones.
I dont think scoring goals will be the problem, especially with Kagawa and Valencia creating, I think it will be defense CB is a weakness, who knows how Vidic and Rio will look this year, Evra is on the decline, Jones/Smalling aren't natural Rbs it will be interesting
Completely under the radar candidate for the worst signing is Reading giving Pogrebnyak 65k to 70k a week.
The fuck. Seriously? There wasn't a player at Wolves making over 30k a week. I think Fletcher was on that and that's it.
1. Citeh 2. Gunners 3. ManU 4. Chelsea 5. Spurs 6. Newcastle 7. Liverpool 8. Swansea 9. Stoke 10. Fulham 11. Everton 12. Norwich 13. Sunderland 14. West Brom 15. Aston Villa 16. West Ham 17. Southampton 18. Wigan 19. QPR 20. Reading The point spread between 8 and 14 is gonna be around 6-7.
