Indeed: .248/.325/.325 is pretty brutal. He's also been caught stealing in 70% of his attempts, which is hilariously Mariners.
11. Seattle Mariners: OF Kyle Lewis, Mercer Callis: What a steal for the Mariners. If I owned the No. 1 pick in this draft, I would have taken Lewis there. I think it's the best combination of ceiling and floor in this draft. Even if he doesn't stay in center field, that power profiles so well on the corner. I think the concerns about quality of competition he faced at Mercer are overblown, because what more could this guy do? He stood out in the Cape Cod League -- a showcase for top college prospects -- and he dominated the Southern Conference the last two years. I'm all in.
He apparently has a high leg kick and a long swing, but that is only if you're picking nits. Sounds like the M's made the best (most expensive) pick. Pumped.
Seems like it's such a crapshoot that I always prefer to take a guy with a high ceiling. May not always pan out, but fuck it, why not? Really stoked about this pick. Was resigned to Dunn being the guy (which would have been okay I guess).
really difficult to be excited or upset with baseball draft picks outside of cases like Strasburg and Harper because you are essentially drafting lottery tickets more than any other sport.
Yeah, it's tough to get too invested in the draft Except when you're passing on known quantities like Rendon for busts like Hultzen and it's obvious as hell...
Lookout Landing @LookoutLanding 32m32 minutes ago In the past 17 games the Mariners have gone 6-11 and outscored their opponents 95-94.
How are you guys doing this afternoon? Here's a picture of Ichiro! wearing a Tom & Jerry sweatshirt next to Michael Jordan.
I miss watching prime Ichiro so bad. Everyone's personal Mariners Mt Rushmore? (this isn't "best" Mariner but your favs) 1) Edgar 2) Kenneth 3) Ichiro 4) Felix Tough for me to leave Randy off the list but I was so sad/salty when he left.
I have feelings for Dan Wilson for being a great dude. Also, Bret Boone / Jeff Nelson were amazing pieces of shit* *Boone is an asshole, Nelly always seemed like one.
List was fav M's, not best. Ichiro obviously on best list, but he was never a personal favorite of mine. Dude could flat out hit though.
Blind optimist here. Wont catch Texas but still just fine for WC. Long season, yes the past few weeks have sucked, but I was already onto football season last year at this time. Just need some of that SoDo MoJo. I'm just happy that the losses actually hurt again compared to the numbness of previous years.
After experiencing a couple months of winning baseball, I can affirmatively state that watching a team who wins most of their games is far more enjoyable than watching a team who loses most of their games. I hope the Mariners haven't become the latter again, because June has sucked all of the balls so far.
Great win. When it was 7-2 I was still uneasy as our bullpen has been vulnerable and Boston is dangerous AF Love to win this series to get some confidence back
This team is pissing me off. Going Tuesday in Detroit. Sprung for visitors dugout seats on the baseline a few rows back. Kids will enjoy it. Maybe catch some BP and autographs.
Youngest son got Cano's autograph yesterday. The group of people that take 10 items for these guys to sign are the scourge of the earth. Crowding out kids so you can sell their stuff...fucking pieces of shit. And we lost. Because RISP doesn't mean shit to this team
The Mariners are never winning again, but hey, the bartender's back! All kidding aside, I do like Tom.

TWEET SHARE (1) PIN The Mariners dropped below .500 in spectacular fashion yesterday, marking the end of a winning era of Seattle baseball. While once fun to chat about these M's around the office, it now brings nothing but sadness and tears, and you can't give your co-workers the emotional upper-hand in the race to the top of the corporate ladder. Thus, you will need to consider new topics of conversation for your gatherings around the watercooler, and Lookout Landing's resident Master of Business and Arbitrage is here to help. Other Sports Basketball just drafted, and the local -- oh shit, this is just as sad as the Mariners. Don't talk about basketball. RIP. Football, though. This town has a good football team. You can say nice things about the Seahawks and everyone will believe you are a quality human being, even though you and I both know about the upper-decker you left in the restroom last week to assert your dominance. The Weather Susan from HR would like you to know that it is unseasonably warm out there. Well GET USED TO IT, SUSAN, climate change is real. Brexit Britain leaving the EU? This is important world news, and both you and your coworkers surely have strong and informed opinions to share about the consequences that may be felt around the globe. Your Dirtbag Boss Man, Steven has really been riding you lately, and you should make this clear to all your friends. He's a great guy, but this company has to get its act together and hire some support staff; tell enough people and garner some support, and you may be able to start a Business Riot. Game of Thrones Did you guys see what happened last week? That one guy from that one place kicked the bucket! And someone will next week! Who could it be? There's only one episode left in this season, so make sure to catch up so you can talk about the show next Monday, especially if there's someone sitting near you that deserves some spoilers. Politics Contrary to popular belief, you definitely want to talk about politics at the office. Believe me, you want to know who Debra in Purchasing is voting for, so that you know whether or not to give her any special treatment in the event of a fire. Especially if she's a [REDACTED] supporter, who clearly deserve to be ridiculed. Wait, did I just get censured by a friggin website? I said [REDACTED] dammit, my opinions will not ignored. Oh come on, this is bullcrap. You can't fire me, I QUIT. gobiz
June needs to end. Two games out of a wild card spot has me tuning in every game still. Fucking fuckers. Seven year old did get Cano's autograph in Detroit. Side note: those autograph hounds that have players sign a bunch of shit are the worst people on the planet.
